Buying an Anaconda: Why ?

This thread made me get my Conda. What a beast. I admit to sweaty palms on my first trip with it.
Yup, me too. I seriously think I will drop the Imp slave leg for a bit. I have a alternate that is just slightly less profitable. Herding 15 mil around when you just have 32 mil is a gamble I'll avoid for a bit.
I know you guys are laughing cause a fighting Anaconda must be 25 mil insurance !

My insurance exposure is Cr22m! Would be over 25 if buy and refit bad not been from Li Rongy. Rarely see the second shield ring go though so little to worry about.

My tip with take off/ exit is use vertical/ lateral thrusters (and roll) but never touch pitch or yaw. As you said 50+ is the right speed too slow is a problem.

Good luck!

My combat conda is roughly 29million with out the PA, using military armor, could afford mirrored/reactive, but I don't really see the point. So the insurance can get over 30 mill if you want to push it for w/e reason.

If it's any help > http://coriolis.io/outfit/anaconda/...700--0605050504040445030301.Iw18ZlA=.Aw18ZlA=

That paid for itself in exactly 1 week from the day of purchase.

looks like I need to re-do mine. mine is 1mil cheaper but with half the shield strength (more than enough for most npc interdictors anyways)
I do sacrifice about 1 ly but what's 1ly of a difference most of the time

docking computer cause I tried it earlier today on a cobra and I love the fact it usually plays Blue Danube
and the fact I can start plotting out the next jump in the galaxy map while the computer docks for me is well sweet :D

edit: woops forgot --- http://coriolis.io/outfit/anaconda/...034324.Iw18ZlA=.Aw18ZlA=?bn=Trade Conda Mk II

You can haul a lot of stuff, while jumping far.

The Type-9 is an abominable monster to fly, plus it has a jumprange of 13 ly when laden, making it even more of a pain.

I just bought one and kitted it for trading. My plan is to slowly upgrade it for combat, making the ownership of this beast its own adventure. Even if you use shield cells you can still have more trading power than a python while still being able to put up a fight.

But for now I'm heavily abusing the godlike cargo potential.
