Camels and cold weather

Hello! I am building a zoo in Iceland and I used the Bactrian camel because I thought that the camels are well adapted to living in the cold. As far as I know, these animals are adapted to the extreme hot and cold temperatures of the deserts. In Helsinki zoo there are 3 camels and when I went last week, I got amazed by the change on the amount of hair they have grown now for the winter in comparison with their look in summer. However, my camels in the game are always complaining about the cold and I have had to put several heaters. Have I been mistaken all my life or is this something wrong in the game?

You're indeed right. They are very good adapted to cold Temperatures. The Camels in my German Zoo (temperate Biome) are also often freezing. I think I've added a Heater in their Shelter but I'm pretty sure that shouldn't be necessary. I think the Temperatures where they live get even colder.

Maybe they wanted at first to make the Dromedary and then changed it to the Bactrian Camel (I'm not sure if Dromedarys are less cold tolerant but at least it makes Sense to assume it because of where they live)
Same Theory with the Peafowl because the Green Peafowl needs a heated Enclosure but the Indian Peafowl should tolerate colder Temperatures in the Game.
I'm not completely sure about the Bison but aren't they also way too sensitive to cold Temperatures in the Game?

I think the problem comes from the biome system in Planet Zoo. The animal's temperature requirements are dictated by the biome, rather than individually set for species; this system is no doubt convenient but does lead to some gross over-simplifications. While the Bactrian camel is a domestic species, it does originally hail from the Gobi desert, and is well adapted to both extreme hot and extreme cold temperatures. The problem arises from the fact that the Gobi desert is a cold desert, thus the average temperatures do not correspond with the hot desert settings in the game. Frontier cannot change the desert temperature settings as this would lead to inappropriate cold tolerance for hot desert species. The most accurate solution would be to add another biome, the cold desert, but I can understand Frontier's reluctance to add "too many" biomes, especially if it would only include one animal. As an approximation they should add Tundra to the biome list for the Bactrian camel. While its not a 100% perfect solution, the tundra is technically a cold desert. (The tundra foliage however would not be appropriate for the Bactrian).
The bison is an easy fix. It is listed under savannah, for grasslands, however the temperature settings are set to the African savannah, not the North American Great Plains. The temperate biome should also be added to the Bison.
Based on the precedent that Frontier set with the Aquatics pack I have high hopes that they will be receptive to making these changes.
Any Proof that it's really not set for each Species individually? Now that I think about the Polar Bear and the Reindeer, they need way colder Temperatures than a Siberian Tiger for Example, so I think it is set for each Species individually and not for the Biome

I couldn't find the temperature specifications in the zoopedia but they are there, which makes this problem more mystifying. I can't wait for the day when we have access to the game code and can easily fix all the data errors entered into this game, such as fertility rate, group size, etc.

That's really awesome. Not completely sure but shouldn't the suitable Temperature for the Pronghorn also be at least slightly below 0?
It will definitely be awesome when I start the third Version of my Antarctic Research Center to also have Camels there
