I wanted a plaque in the station... But this will do.

You see the system architect name in the system map in architect view,
Or maybe I don't understand what you mean
It's shown in the System View, on every station's main menu, and also in the station Local News where it lists all the Cmdrs who contributed to that station's construction.
I thought someone said, not been to one myself, that the local news just listed the top 5 contributors as well as the architect, no top 5 for them though.
Could well be just the top five, I've not seen one with more than 2-3 people named.
I will only get graffiti on the walls....

There's two listings, one with all the contributors and one with the top 5 (although, in classic fdev fashion, unless it’s been fixed it actually shows the bottom 4 apparently

The galaxy map already shows the architect of a system. You have to select the colonsation mode of the galmap, but id does show it very clearly.
Quite literally not what's being referred to. I don't have to switch map modes to see First Discovered By information. Should be the same for Colonized By.
