COMPLETED CG Campaign to Acquire Unclassified Relics

People gonna riot ;)

...I see that the CG is already finished ! I wasted all this time for nothing when most of the time it's the opposite: the CG is impossible to achieve. Are we supposed to have no life to play in? What a desappointment...
I mean...it ran for six and a half days...

But the standard Guardian Relic CG still has eight hours left...if you hurry?

As they say...
"Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly."
"If the final target is met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately."

My only problem with this CG was that it was a very involved procedure to even make 3 grelics, they cannot be sold on a carrier, and the payout was rather small compared to handing them over to Palin or Ram Tah. This meant that people were generally going to go whole hog for the paint job, as opposed to just a small bit of participation for a bit of cash. I managed to hit the top 50%, but I was really worried for a while.

Also, I would really like a grapple or something to move objects on foot...

I am so disappointed ! I am so disappointed! There is so much inequality in the CG, but this is breaking records! I mean, it was supposed to be a very difficult CG, it's extremely time consuming to collect the "grelics". Even yesterday there was still a lot to do, and when I come back this evening after work, it's already finished! I have literally spent hours, even days of my life stupidly trying to be in a good position to get the rewards and when I come back I haven't even had time to log in when I see that the CG is already finished ! I wasted all this time for nothing when most of the time it's the opposite: the CG is impossible to achieve. Are we supposed to have no life to play in? What a desappointment...
While I do sympathise, this CG managed to run until the last day before completion which I find to be fair. If this is your first CG, I would advise you to check the progress on inara occasionally to see how fast it's going and adjust your strategy accordingly.

Don't put all your eggs in 1 basket. For me, I delivered the grelics in 2 batches to ensure I get top 75% at least. To be safe, dump double the minimum amount for that tier.

Good luck in your next CG!

Given the many hours it takes to collect guardian relics and the huge distances which have to be traveled to convert them into unclassified relics,
I must have lost +/- 30 grelics to the ceiling, frustrated the fuuuu out of me so I stopped participating. Thanks for nothing!!

It seems people don't read or don't understand the comments we make...
Yet almost everything was said in my 1st message. I said that the CGs were most often unequal. Most of the time the final goal is impossible to achieve 100%, which is rather good since it gives everyone time (even those who have a real life...) to pass the rewards milestone. Sometimes they are super fast but the progression is relatively linear, which possibly leaves time to react especially since completing the tasks does not take hours. But here.... the time to accomplish the requested tasks (especially the "grelics") was horribly long. The enormous distances between each crossing point, guardian site, then recovery of relics, then a Thargoid site, then transformation of relics to "grelics", then the Meene system.... We couldn't afford to do 15,000 round trips. I don't remember very well but I think I did the first one in a "relatively" short time on friday to bring back some Guardian relics. It was a test of the feasibility with the technique of missiles and limpets. The 2nd round I changed ships for a better equipped one and brought back a "large" quantity of Guardian relics in one go from another (and closer) Gardian site (around 280 relics I believe). The 3rd round I did to test the transformation of relics into "grelics" because I had never done it before. Same, I wanted to test the feasibility. I must have brought back about 20 if I remember correctly. Finally the 4th round (the longest) was to transform and bring back as many "grelics" as possible since I had already reached the goal for the Guardian relics (I was in the 10% with my 1st round). All this, ALWAYS following the progress on INARA. And as I said: Tuesday there was plenty of time left. We were between 50% at the begining of the day, and 60% at the end. I had transformed 70 Grelics at this point I think. But the next day, coming back from work (sorry for having a life) the CG was already finished!
And no, this isn't the first time I've made a CG (I have 4400 hours of play, thank you) but this one was particularly unbalanced. All you have to do is look at the number of participants and the success rate stats for each section to see there's a problem at the end...

I thought you were a relatively new player since you just joined yesterday and that was your first message in the forum.

Now that we know you have thousands of hours of experience, I'm less sympathetic.

Git gud next time, o7.

Yes, I registered yesterday on this forum for the first time because I never really had to complain (...) or I never realy had a request to make. And yet... the game is still full of bugs, some very old and/or related to the Thargoid war...but here too, requests on the bug tracker are not really successful, even for the most obvious and oldest bugs... (let's talk a little about the sh*t they made when they went from Horizons to Odissey....) So I manage on my own or I look elsewhere, sometimes on Facebook, or I simply Google it. But this time it was too much. So I searched to see if anyone else had the same problem and came across this forum just to say how much @!§&$!! it was.

I posted that it was confirmed on the bug tracker, and that it needed votes. However, it seems people don't know how to use the tracker properly, as there are many people just adding more comments and not actually upvoting it, meaning it will probably fail to be looked at yet again. I've never really liked the way the tracker worked. While it is relatively simple, it appears it's still too hard for some to use correctly. 🤷‍♂️

Bold of you to assume people have votes left / not assigned to other issues that have been broken for a lot longer without any sign of being fixed.
