Can FDev restore ships after screwed-up rebuy?

Just got exploded, got to rebuy screen, clicked "accept all" and the game crashed.

Now the launcher has decided it needs an update, which is a bit odd because it didn't say it needed one when I logged in at around 9pm.
After the update is finished, and I can log back in, I'm hoping I'll be sat in my shiny new Phantom.

If I'm not, can FDev restore a ship in those sort of circumstances?

When I first got a Python I docked at some outpost then spilled tea all over my desk. By the time I got it cleaned up and turned everything back on I was looking at a sidewinder and had no clue what happened. Support told me I launched then was destroyed for loitering, after that I'm assuming I closed the game on a rebuy screen without noticing I had inadvertently lost the Python. I didn't even ask for anything back, I just wanted to know what happened (didn't know about logs). They gave me the Python back and also refunded me for the cargo I had lost. Very nice of them. I'd be amazed if they didn't at least let you buy your Phantom back.

So to be clear?
There is no problem yet?
This is a thread about an issues that may or may not arise?

They were dead nice and gave me back my DBX after space madness compelled me to self destruct rather than face the rest of the journey back to the Bubble... I even admitted totally honestly that I knew what I was doing really, even if my sleep-deprived and deep space-addled brain didn’t quite think it though... so if you do lose your ship through a crash I see no reason why not!

A few months ago, one of my heavily engineered ships was destroyed.

When I did the rebuy, inadvertently, all of the checkmarks were removed and all I received back was a bare-bones stock ship.

I put in a ticket and FDev graciously restored all of my missing modules as they were.

Good on them.

Yes. Yes they can.

You simply have to sign your soul over to their care.

Toodly pipsky old bean what what

It depends. Almost surely you will either end at the rebuy screen (which is what happens if you force-quit after seeing the rebuy screen) or it registered the accept-all and just sends you back to your ship at whatever station. It won't lose your ship unless you by accident pressed the wrong button. In that case Support can reimburse the value of the ship if this is the first time it happened, but they may not always give back mods.

Yes I've done this too... And fdev restored my ship.
It was a storaConda with a load of engineered modules.
