Can I change gray border of pancake mode

It would be great if I could change the gray border in pancake mode to black. I think it would be less jarring and feel more like you were viewing the world from your space helmet. Is this possible?

I just want an option to make the screen to take up the entire FOV so I can be a bit more immersed. It's unfortunate that FDev wants to renege on future VR support but the least they can do is funnel a bit of extra resources from their dinosaur & theme park projects and put it toward QoL features for the game that actually put them on the map.

Its possible for Frontier to do that, but will they? Try asking one of the community managers nicely, maybe...

They are already aware of our requests - the last mention I read was late last year from our wonderful CM Sally:

We were only talking about the "can it be black around the edge" for VR at Dinner with the Devs on Saturday, funny enough I didn't have the notebook there with me but I've kept it for resurfacing in chats!

Personally I’d like to be able to alter the viewing distance and give the virtual screen a bit of a curve, as well as darkening the border.

And make the view stereoscopic and head-tracked, while I’m asking

Really hope they change the grey to black. Very jarring having it be bright borders.
