Newcomer / Intro can I game with my friends on Xbox?

I've got a buddy who was over and I showed him the game. He is interested, but only has a laptop to play with. He does have an Xbox, if he plays on his xbox can we play together?

Are you playing on PC or Xbox? To elaborate on what Orodruin said above, there's no crossplay so you both have to be on the same platform to play together.

There is a difference between running fine and being a good experience. I would not play on a laptop screen (I know, I know, I would not play on any flatscreen, but a lsptop screen is even further down the list).

I was able to run it on my windows tablet on mobile data (run may not be the correct term here, launching took 15 minutes, and 16 FPS with everything at ultra-minimum with 0.7 SS).

I wouldn't want to play on it, but depending on the laptop it may run as well as on the XBox (and your friend can always connect the laptop with his tv for a bigger screen).

Try with your account - you don't need to buy the game if it really does not run. Laptops range from struggling to launch Editor to putting gaming PCs to shame. As I said above, I wouldn't want to play on my tablet, it was just for fun to try if it would work. Anything with a dedicated GPU should work though, of course not on Ultra.

Playing together is a great boon though - Crossplay would be a great thing to have. (it is the same galaxy already, so actions from one platform influence the others too)
