Can I uninstall Frontier version of ED after getting a Steam key?

Had the Frontier version of ED from 2015 and then Horizons (also from Frontier) and then discovered I can get a Steam key which I got and installed via Steam. So I now have 2 versions on my SSD and would like to save space, so can I delete the C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments version without issue? I would like to run the game via steam only as it's easier to move the steam library onto another SSD and don't want duplicate files clogging up my drive

NO that's where your control binds are kept(for both versions) you can however delete the folder with the underscore Frontier_Develpments folder which contains the products folder game files

Thanks for the reply. Sorry I hadn't realised that there were 2 folders: one with and one without an underscore. The underscore version is the larger anyway so deleting it will save the most space on the disc.
