TBH I sometimes wish I could have two saves as I'm loathed to give up my billions but at the same time would be interesting to do a clean start, particularly on foot.That's one of the reasons I clear my save from time to time and start over. It really re-sparks the enthusiasm and fun for me.

Newcomer / Intro Can somebody help me get credits, its very hard for me to get a lot of credits to get better stuff.

Yes. If there's one incontrovertibly great thing about Odyssey, it's starting on foot. I had a great fun with it. There's a surprisingly large number of activities you can do without a ship. I'd even say it's better BECAUSE you don't have your own ship and a lot of money. For the same reason mucking about in a Freewinder is fun.
When I first "restarted" my game after about a year of playing (way back then) I was also terrified by loosing a lot of money and all my progress. But I did it anyway and since then I'm doing it periodically.
Because one thing you're going to find out about the game once you took the hit and cleared the save is that it's not having billions and access to everything that's entertaining. It's getting the billions and access to everything. After you have it, well.. you can look at it I guess.
I really can't recommend this periodical play style enough. It's not like you're really building an empire you can't afford to lose like in X4.

This might sound daft to people but one of the reasons I stopped playing iron-man and went plastic (freewinder instead of clear save) was this awful UPPER CASE NAMES for your ships nowadays. So I have not reset my two long-standing accounts purely because of not wanting this "feature"*. I do have a couple of accounts I regularly reset, one in particular I keep for mucking about in the noob-zone. These accounts see most of my play-time I believe - I know that "Para Handy" has not been used for a while - multi billions, every ship, double Elite (means nowt these days) Deadly and no desire to grind for that last Elite - I must get over the upper-case thing and reset him soon.
* AKA a fudge F D implemented to mask one of their innumerable injected bugs. FIX THE BUG F D!
On one hand, yeah, I can understand the frustration. It can feel daft sometimes.
