Purple PythonMissions FailedUnrecoverable error on adjudication server

The purple python error code is usually caused by a mission error in the server, you mentioned you took a mission before the issue started. Not that there isn't an issue because clearly there is (though quite often errors like this seem to just go away sometimes) but if you still have the mission active you could try abandoning the mission and see if the error clears itself.

  • When requesting missions, you are downloading a chunk of data over a short time. Therefore, for best results, we recommend making sure that nothing else is using your network in the background. For this reason, we would recommend avoiding streaming services such as YouTube/Twitch and making sure not to be downloading large files.
  • Log in to your router and disable any content filters that may be present, in particular, look for anything that aims to filter fragmented traffic. "

Doubt it, steam is basically not interfering with the game at all as far as i understand, just bought the game there. Cause Sale and stuff.
Btw. never bought Odyssey, only the base game or horizon.
When you launch the game, what options do you see in the lower left corner of the launcher, near the blue button?

Can you share a screen clip of that area of the launcher? Please DO NOT post any personal information, like your name, which is displayed in the upper right corner of the launcher.

Yeah found that too, didnt help me at all. Game was running fine for 3 days so i doubt its a filter error all of a sudden in the router, neither is internet bandwith a problem (250 mbit). Ofc i shut my browser down, didnt change anything...

Yes.

I see that you are loading Horizons Live v4.0 (its the Odyssey client without access to the On-Foot part and the ability to land on Tenuous Atmosphere bodies.)

If you choose 'LEGACY HORIZONS" and then click the button, does the game act different with respect to your issue? The graphics WILL be different, I'm specifically asking about your issue. Does it still crash in Legacy Horizons?
 
Well seems to be working, did the tutorial, did the first mission for the 10k credits, chose another station in the system and jumped there, seemed to work fine.

Didn´t expect less though, since it worked for a few hundred jumps/cruises in 4.0 too

Well then, it seems like something support will have to fix, rather than something you can fix. They should get back to you soon. They're usually very good, from what I've read.
 
AFAIK, they are in Cambridge, England UK with the rest of the company. IIRC they also support all of Frontier's games and their inbox is huge...

I recently filed two different support tickets, and they responded to each well within 24 hours. I had an additional issue after the first ticket was closed. They responded to that add-on question within 24 hours as well. So far, they've impressed me every time.
 
Well i got the standard answer with Filters and Streaming like in the FAQ.

Didnt help ofc.

Solved it myself (and with your help), activated support for IPv6 and abandoned the mission.
For now everything seems to be working again.

Dont know which of these 2 things did it and I am not in the mood for further testing :D

Btw, by this do you mean that the screen completely halts and nothing updates and you just see a static image, or are you getting an endless "entering into supercruise" or "exiting from supercruise" animation that seems to go on for a long time, before you get the error dialog?

The latter very typically happens when there's some kind of internet connection problem or if there's some problem at the server side, especially when exiting supercruise or during a jump to another system (this is because the game loads stuff from the servers at that point, so if there's a connection problem it will just keep showing the jumping/exiting supercruise animation until it gets all the data, or the connection times out).

As for the reason (ie. why it happens to you and nobody else), I have no idea, sorry.
 
Well had a few days break, wanted a lazy saturday afternoon, first mission, got a blackbox, same problem again, can´t do sh**. This game ist not very fun if half of the missions break your game. Its not like this is an early Alpha Version! Thinking about uninstalling...

itsa bit of an art form in ed to" learn" when to relog
just after entering a mission instance for eg or mission item not present etc
if not taxed for disk space leave alone as most will come back for a spell its that kinda game
 
Not really helping that i have to gamble if i can log in or have to restart the game for it to work to be honest...

Still, I´m growing kinda ed about this bad Connectivity issues...

If i have to relog after every jump because the mission can get corrupted and it can break my whole game then this is not the game for me. Or the developer
