Can the discovery scanner find Voyager 1 or 2?

Yes, the FSS can find them. Hint : they're far far away now, so 1000 years later they're further than that (but not as much as Hutton Orbital)

Awesome, Thanks! I'd never considered New Horizons. What about the Mariner probes?

I didn't see them last time I went in Sol. Also, I've never heard about them being in game. However I heard about other... "XXIst century man-made objects"... that are present in game, but as I believe only what I see, I can't confirm...

Actually they're already in their correct positions for 1200 years from now.

Voyager, Voyager II and New Horizons are all there: either use the FSS, or you may be able to scan the Nav Beacon - you want the Ancient Probe POI. I don't think that the Mariners or Pioneers are in-game, however. The "Voyager" POI is a tourist beacon, fairly close to Voyager-1.

The devs did a good job modeling the probes with the Golden Record.

Can't recall what's in-game but if they're there, you can find 'em with the FSS.

Takes all the fun out of it IMO, but there we are.

I visited them last week, FSS properly showed them and they were indicated in the NAV Panel as well.

Visiting those places before FSS, and not during active tourist beacons (I think they were at some point for some duration), was quite interesting experience, but I can see it being something many people playing video games wouldn't bother doing. People originally searching for them must have been crazy.
