Can we expect to see advanced rotate on walls/roofs in future updates?

This is something I've been long awaiting for since game release. I remember there being a glitch that allowed you to do this, but was unfortunately patched. Can we hope to see them implement this feature in the future? I'd love to be able to put my buildings on a slant or even upside down in some cases.
 
When I designed the earthquake disaster area and towering infernos I build using art blocks at a 15 to 20 degree angle to get the tilt effect had two building lean into each other either side with fires burning and windows on the floor and coaster going through it with explosions on triggers.

However yeah we need this as standard something that is well overdue!
 
Yep, at minimum we should be able to z-rotate a building's grid (Leaning Tower of Piza!) with the Advanced Move/Rotate tool (easy to implement since we've had it before), but I'd also like to see Advanced Move/Rotate (including z-rotate) on individual pieces. There've been several times it would've helped to place arches sideways or upside down, but we can't.

And kinda-sorta on topic, allowing the area-select tool to be used during building (only for what's in the building) would be great! Individually selecting everything in a hydroponic bed can be frustrating.
 
Hopefully. But Gregorburns has been able to mod the game to do this. So if not by Frontier officially, possibly through a mod :)
 
At this state, would be nice to at least be able to hold the z-key and be able to rotate a grid-piece in both direction. Kind of tired of being forced to rotate building objects by killing my z-key. Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z [pirate]

This was possible during alpha but they choose to remove it. But a modder somehow managed to bring it back but it has yet to be released to the public. I hope it will though.

If I remember right they removed it because it was a glitch that got patched out... (It never was an official feature, just a trick people figured out involving switching pieces while already in advanced movement mode.)

Hold on! Surely 'this glitch' or the idea of it and its flexibility was a good thing overall, so why did they not advance on this?

The building system in PC is quite advanced. You probably noticed that when you build walls at a 90 degree angle, the edges of the wall pieces change to 45 degrees to avoid Z-fighting. This (among other things) is probably the reason why it's not as easy to implement without breaking other aspects of the building system.

Nevertheless I also hope that at some point they find a way to implement this feature.

its less a problem of implementation and more of that they just dont want to do it, there was a bug that allowed this in alpha 2, silvarret built an entire park using this bug nearly, didnt seem to break anything, and they patched it out, the community of course was very dissapointed, and they only ever said "this was not intended"

to expand, the bug was, if you grabbed a piece that could advance rotate and went into the advanced rotation using ctrl+x or whatever it is, you could then select a different piece, whether it was grid based or not, and it would let you rotate it with the advanced rotation.

they never gave a reason, they just said it was not intended, a few creators built entire parks nearly with it, and it didnt seem to break anything or hurt performance, so they probably just thought it would create issues or confusion with users.

the advanced move option needs to be available for every single thing in this game. SO SICK ON THE INCONSISTENCIES in this game.
Most options r only available on things that open in BUILDING EDIT mode. ridiculous
