Can we have our own ingame music please?

Step 1: Go to options
Step 2: Go to audio
Step 3: mute game music
Step 4: run iTunes, spotify, pandora, youtube, or whatever in the background.

Problem solved. You are welcome.

Excellent example of how to make a condescending post with no consideration of the preceding contents in a thread. [down]

Step 1: Turn on game.
Step 2: Get canopy blown, still hear Pantera at full volume.
Step 3: Remember outgame feed works on secondary audio controls.
Step 4: Remember the time you added 500 appropriate tracks to various radio stations in FNV, adding to the ambience of game on ingame radios and Pip-Boy feed.
Step 5: Wish Elite could run audio through game-internal feeds.

I just turn the game music down when I want to enjoy some of my own tunage.

Not sure about this but I think there are some crossover between the SFX stems and the Music ones.
I know with the "listen to the planets in the system map" trick that the recommendation is to have the music "unmuted, but turned right down".

But I am a total wav file replacing guy.
I got my daughter to do a voice read when she was four and replaced all the files in my NavMan.
So the voice in our navigator was this tiny kid "In five hundred meters turn left". We had it for years, and she loved showing it off to her friends. Some cretin stole it from the car which was sad, but I do like the idea that someone bought it from a pawn shop or something and she's still out there somewhere - telling some junkie lowlife how to get to their methodone sign on. Or maybe in a family's crappy second car.

So I'll plus one for this trick, even though I think it will probably break stuff.
And also you have appalling taste in music.

You need to listen to more tasteful stuff like this Irish band that used to support U2:

Well that's 8:34 minutes of my life I won't get back.

What does it sounds like at the correct speed?

I'd like my music fed through the game proper, for both atmosphere and more consistent audio leveling. Plus when your canopy blows unless you have "Earbud" setting your music would disappear, not to mention hearing your tunes after getting back to the station also means aliveness. Super tangental feature but would be cool.

This!

First off, I answered the question. I read the OP and respond to it first. I almost never bother with other posts at that point. Excellent example of how to spout off without considering someone else's routine. I have my method, and I am not about to change it for anyone other than myself.

Second, I can be as condescending to my hearts content, despite the fact that it wasn't the way I was intending this post to come off. Its my post, my decision, and its not your started thread, and not your problem. Water off a duck's back dude. My post really shouldn't be bothering you enough for you to point it out. I didn't violate any of the forum rules, so there isn't anything to really say there. I addressed the issue in a clear and concise manner. And none of what I said is factually inaccurate or otherwise debatable. This is a method for getting outside game music that I know works. Its not speculation, its not opinion, its a fact. Discussion can stop right then and there. You have issues with what you believe to be tone (despite the fact that tone is often misinterpreted in text), that is your problem, not mine.

Third, there was a negative rep button way back in the day. It had to be removed and it might have been T.J.'s fault.

Have a nice day, or don't. Makes no difference to me.

I'd quite like the in-game music feature to include access to tracks; because the game has this rather nice knack of ramping up (and down) music, depending on activities. This lends itself better because there are times (like losing my canopy) that as much as hearing Carpenter Brut belt out an epic Synthwave tune at volume is energising, to say the least, it's not really in keeping with the developer intent of deadening the soundscape. Indeed, there are a huge number of audio cues that trigger background music volume changes.

Yes, I can and do mute the in-game music, and just crank up DriveRadio, or something; but I absolutely appreciate the h*ck out of developers who go that little extra mile and offer "we know our music is awesome, but you have excellent taste too, so lemme get some goodness from your collection (spotify/youtube/ whatever) going on, awww jea, bangin' tune m8"

I always thought this would be a great idea, to have the game trigger music you choose ahead of time. I'm really surprised this hasn't been implemented yet, considering all the interest. And not just here but on many other forums.

I dream of flying between planets and starports and hearing Black Sabbath's "Planet Caravan" kick on.
