Can we name systems we've discovered
Perhaps one day, if we're really lucky, Frontier will allow us to build / buy our own outposts, bases or megaships so we can place them around the galaxy, helping other players, and perhaps even creating new bubbles.
Recently, on the way back to Colonia, I found the perfect system for me to settle in, about 2,500ly from Colonia but on the way there. It would make an excellent stop for weary travellers, and a great place to open a roadside diner.
What's better is that I got first discovery on the system and everything in it, which included a Water World and twin Earth-types.
Sadly, it has the uninspiring name EORD FLYUAE MA-D D13-1022. It would be brilliant if, assuming we've got first discovery on everything in a system, we could claim it and choose our own name for it
then I can wait hopefully for the chance to create a permanent station there.
The landable planets in the system contain useful materials, and in good quantities.
