Can we please have a navigation target separate from a hud target?

I actually don't target passing ships because I can't be bothered going through the nav panel to get my nav target back.

This kind of change would enable me to scope out nearby ships.

Pretty sure pre gamma 2 (or a recent update not that long before release) that it used to return to the Nav target when deselecting the targeted ship whether you manually targeted a ship in the middle of your view or where cycling through them with next / prev target. Now it just leaves nothing targeted when deselecting, not sure why it changed. I mentioned this very change to my fellow Aussie Commanders at the time as it was something I did a lot but now can't.

+1. And add target speed value while your at it FD. Also please add a "clear all targets" button please. We can only jump from target to target. I feel "dirty" sometimes and just want to clear everything and have nothing targeted.

Use next target, to select ships without loosing your navigation target.
Use next hostile to go back to your navigation target.
