CAN WE UNITE AND START A PETITION

Are you saying that the Grand Theft Auto V developers work for free? Cause GTA as tons of DLC's and all of them are free xD

This is exactly what I was talking about, see this guy knows, he knows that you are the Grand Theft Auto and Planet Coaster people, I see the guys Avatar, it has a fast car, what to do with animals?

@ Roy_ LovesPrimates I am a zoo fan lol. I like Planco but prefer planet zoo. So let me get this perfectly straight now I understand in a zoo game animals are obviously the most important factor as with any zoo. But your saying a zoo game would be better with no or very little decor and building sets. If that was the case every zoo in the world would basically look the exact same and everyone’s personal zoos would practically be a exact copy. Let me tell you something and I’m not trying to be rude I’m just making a point I was in the zt2 community for 12 yrs. When modders came on scene it was all about the animals at first as obviously they are the main factor. First simple reskins followed eventually by full on remakes. So after awhile we had all these great animals and barely any scenery, buildings, and objects. Realistic looking anyway. After awhile people appreciated that just as much as the animals themselves you know why because the two go hand in hand. I mean every time I play planet zoo I try to build the most realistic zoo I can. And also if you think my building skills are up to par with some others in these forums your sadly mistaken. But I still appreciate the building aspect as well this game is the best zoo game ever at this point. But it takes both to keep it that way.

And to answer the petition question as the moderator has already said it couldn’t be done is NO. It’s comes across as rude and ungrateful. Now it might not be meant that way but that’s the way anyone anywhere who has a job and devotes their time into something would take it. Like people and frontier has already said they have all the feedback they need in these forums and I’m sure they’ll look it over.

It's well known that they are able to provide free DLC because of the shark cards.
With the amount of daily gamers playing GTA, that business-model (only for MP) is possible. People don't want to grind to get their favorite vehicles etc.
Someone explained it a long time ago on the GTA forums, in short: it's free for a lot of people because a lot of other people pay for it.

Swjosdotschaka ok I understand what you said but if both are important I don't understant why we get 250 new items and only 4 animals do you understand why I say that I would like less deco and more animals? It's cause why are we getting a lot of decoration(and with this new decoration the community will make lots of new creative stuff adding more and more decoration) and animals we will still have a medium variety of animals, if one day as Loki Livewire says we get a Animal Pack Only maybe it can give me what I want but this 2 packs that we have released/anounced today.. I don't know.. I don't know Frontier but hope that they are not like EA that only want to get more and more money with out listen there fans.

First of: Frontier is far far away from being EA. Look at the free updates, look at how especially @Chante Goodman and @Bo Marit engage with the community, passing on feedback, being friendly and not hostile towards us. Tell me where EA does that.

And we get 250 building pieces, because
a. building pieces are easier to make than a fleshed out, well animated animal with incredible sound and
b. most of those pieces can't be used alone.

I don't get this hostility towards creative players. I am an animal nerd and I already voiced my concerns that we won't have enough variety of animals by the end of the support of the game (if it is in 2-3 years already), because I plan to play this game as long as I played the Sims. Which would be 25 years (though I had to switch from one to two and eventually 4). That, however, has nothing to do with the building pieces. Building pieces do not take away from the animals. We only got 5 animals per pack because they are expensive to make.

Would I like bigger packs? Yes. But I also don't mind these szize of packs as long as they are less generic next time and more focused and narrowed down to a more specific theme. 5 animals of south america is too little. 5 species of new world monkeys would have been awesome. Or 5 animals of the Anden, then a pack with 5 birds, then a pack with 5 jungle animals from south america whatever.

We need more animals. And we need more building pieces. The last one actually too a little bit more generic, not too specific. And it is the building aspect of the game that drives it forward as well as the animals.

I was an "animals only" player with ZT. Now I'm a builder and an animal lover and I'm glad that I'm both and glad that the Planet Universe offers different play styles. Because the more playstyles this game can cater, the longer it will live and the more DLCs we will get.

The more time it passes, the more likely than the four animals a pack becomes the norm for all future Planet Zoo DLCs, looking thru this forum and others it seems I'm not alone in my displeasure for this trend.
As I already said in another thread, I think one can only judge a product finally when you see/ try it. The good thing of today's influencer marketing is that one can see videos/ streams with the new DLC and then make an informed decision.
What I can tell from the prepared pictures and short clips so far, the content of this DLC is largely underwhelming and I don't think that the recent hype will last long. The animals seem all to be based on existing rigs and the scratching animations of the anteater and the apes don't look natural.
The recognizable building pieces mostly look like reskins of the existing pieces of the Indian temple and other assets (bamboo pieces).
While Frontier currently runs the forth sale of the base game since release for only 35 bucks and the DLCS as well (where you can purchase the Arctic pack for 5 bucks just 3 months after launch) it seems not reasonable to pay another 10 for this little content.
If your guess of 10-12 DLCs comes true this would mean paying 100-120 bucks for a total of 40-50 animals, less than the base game offers.
I will make my final judgment next Tuesday when a 'content creator' will show off the content via its free DLC code.
