Cannot Connect to Servers

Was disconnected multiple times from Solo due to "Unable to connect to Matchmaking Servers" now I cannot log back in at all :(

4 disconnects within 15 minutes (just started an exploration trip). I just self destructed and went back home (even disconnected on the self destruct screen). I'll just go back to my other games until they get this mess sorted. I hope they fix this soon... I want to run my Orca out into the black.

I've also experienced a higher than normal number of disconnects with the "try to reconnect to the game more than once" sequence following. I also think this is the 8th or 9th thread on this subject, isn't it?

Guessing server loads increased due to lots of people getting gifted it for xmas.

Still making mining impossible right now, 4 disconnects while trying to surface scan a planet.

Now i've got in the ring nothing but disconnects, luckily i have not found any asteroids cores with void opals as i would get destroyed each time it disconnects me and i log back in to the pirates that always appear without fail every time you first jump into a ring.

Dead dead dead. Several minutes to get into solo (somewhat ironic) and then just an eternally spinning ship.

Time to go back to a real single-player space game.. that doesn't need matchmaking, adjudication, and all the other bits and pieces we're stuck with here.
