Cannot Disembark to complete mission that requires me to be on foot.

Title says it all. I have no option to disembark due to "unsafe temperatures" but the mission I'm attempting to complete on this planet requires me to be on foot. Am I missing something or is this just broken?
 
How hot was it? Sometimes it's possible to wait and do the missions at night when it's a bit cooler.

I tested that. Was able to disembark on the dark side of the planet but it was tidally locked. And even if it wasn't the mission timer was too short to wait for a rotation.
 
Why is at level one with the mission giver they make it impossible to complete the mission I waited the full 6 hours for the one I grabbed and the mission timed out before I could disembark.. Also my gear is not upgraded. You'd think they would have taken that into consideration when making possible missions for the rotation.
 
The system I was doing missions at first had the first four planets too hot to disembark and the next two were too hot during midday. A system like that is a right nightmare to find missions you can actually complete. Now the other system I found only has one land-able planet, so all the missions go there.
 
Same issue for me. Second mission I've attempted in Odyssey. Second failed mission due to stupid bugs. I've given it the benefit of the doubt, but if this condinues I don't think I'll be playing it much longer

1 - The mission generator shouldn't create missions to destinations where you can't disembark due to extreme conditions.
2 - There also should be no settlements where the conditions are too extreme, or at least there shouldn't be visible people walking around during the day (if extreme heat) or night (if extreme cold).
 
same issue here. NPCs soldiers spawn there just fine though...
<sigh> That is exactly what happened to me. I went to the crash site but could not disembark due to unsafe temperature. The SRV was fine but I needed to be in the marauder suit to cut open hatches on the crashed ship. While I was looking around two teams of four guards attacked me on foot!

Maybe there is a suit mod for super high temperatures?

Given the differences between day-side and night-side - should they offer missions which are only possible at night, or should all missions be possible at all times of day?

Personally, I'd love it if:
  • Missions are offered as long as they're possible at some time-of-day and/or with certain loadouts (provided the temperatures or necessary equipment is made known to the player in advance).
  • I'd love to see players having the option to disembark anywhere, with warnings. Ideally we'd have some idea in outfitting/loadouts of the supported temperature ranges so we have an idea what's safe, what's risky and what's insane. Then.. players could make their own choices on the risk level.
