Cannot Log in... please help

I'm new to Elite... at least this version. I played the original a billion years ago.

I purchased on steam, downloaded the content, pushed "play" on steam.

At that point, I was asked to create an account, which I did. It then had me verify my email. All went well. I then went to log in to my new account, at which time it asked me to verify an access code they sent to my email, which I did.

It then returns me to the login screen, telling me to purchase a copy of Elite, which I did on steam.

What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

You need to click the "Link account to Steam " button
