Confirmed I could not get in initially but now I have switched mode I am in the game.

Sunday Evening. There is no point playing on a Sunday Evening. FD do not have enough servers for the workload.

i play every sunday evening, no issues till today.

I got an "unrecoverable error on transaction server" about 19.40 BST. I then got "there was a problem retrieving Commander data from the server. Try again in a few minutes" and finally after a reboot, I get "Connection Status: Your client is too old - please upgrade to the latest version of Elite Dangerous"
Hmmmm - I think the servers are down

Let's see for how long that works. Usually it does as a fallback option...

Had just done it so was lucky. Shows how inadequate (non existent) the storage options are in the game.
