Horizons Can't deploy weapons says Power limit Exceeds On Vulture

I went to Deploy my weapons to test them and my power on the ship has decreased to the point where my shields go of line and oxygen depletes .......Um I bought a 5D Hull reinforcement and might be cause it's to heavy for the ship if anyone can help cause I'd appreciate it...... I want to bounty hunt with this new ship I bought. Cheers

Press 4 to access your right panel -> Choose the modules panel -> make sure that your power usage is not exceeding your power output( the percentage bar at the bottom with percentage and numbers 1 2 ).
So if you figure out that you dont have enough power, try to reduce it with several ways
- better power plant
- power management. If you notice it in a modules tab, there is a priority number. this number represents the order of shutting down of modules if your power plant is damaged or just not have enough megawatzz. Perhaps you should turn off your cargohatch, since you are not using it while the weapons are deployed. also you can lower the priority of FSD and FSD interdictor, so they will turn off automaticly when you deploy you weapins and the power usage jumps up.
- try another equipment. for example the high grade warrant scanners take quite a lot of power. there is not much need for giving a lot of power to this, so use the cheap ones. same with other equipment like shields and such.

In this game you cant really put anything you want on a ship, so you need to choose... or engeneer your A powerplant to crazy limits)

You can set priority in the modules panel. Set things like frame shift drive, cargo hatch, fuel scoop if you have one, discovery scanner if you have one of those and anything else you won't use when your weapons are deployed to a higher number. These will then shut down first when you deploy hard points. Hopefully you will have enough power left to run everything else. If not then you will have to look at upgrading powerplant and distributor (the distributor makes more difference than you might think), and/or swapping to less power hungry weapons. Don't know what weapons you have, but if you are using two lasers, swapping one for a multicannon can save you a lot of power and it is a very effective combination.

Im not to sure what to do... Thanks Commander John Krispo

Your power usage is still outstripping your power plant output, even with those modules disabled. You are going to have to upgrade your power plant or maybe drop one of the pulse lasers down to a 2F.

The Vulture is notorious for being power hungry. Even with the 4A power plant, when the other key modules are A rated, you often have to juggle the power management.

Just so you know, you don't have to completely disable the Cargo hatch and Fuel scoop. You can set their priority to '3'.

Ok. From what i see on a screenshot you got a B grade warrant scanner. It is very power hungry(15 percent of your ship power is a lot for that module) switch it to lower grade D or E for now. All you will lose from this is a scan range to 2~ 2.5 kilometers.

Yet if you need to get your ship operational right now without messing with docking, you need just to switch the following modules to group 1
- Power Distributor
- Life Support
- Sensors
- Thrusters

All these modules are turnin off now when you deploy your hardpoints. If you will switch the modules i mentioned up there, your ship will be fully operational right now. All other modules will power themselvs down, but they are not crucial for the fight. After you're done blowing stuff up and undeploy your weapons with 'U' button, FSD and turned down modules will get back online.

Go back to the station and change your KWS to a C or D grade. That should sort out your power.

It's not really a good idea to take a Vulture out with E-grade modules. You need A-grade power plant and power distributor, at least C-grade thrusters, A-grade shields and at least C-grade sensors.

You can use it as it is for stealing kills from the feds to get the money for the upgrades, but don't try and shoot anything on your own because you'll get massacred.

This is what you have at the moment:

This is what you need to change it to if you don't have any more credits, otherwise get higher grade shields and PP:

The Vulture also tends to overheat if you don't balance your weapons power draw and overall draw as well.

Some weapon combinations just won't work. It has large weapons relative to its' size so trial and error and reading what others have been successful w/ is in order.
