Can't find chemical processors - davs hope

Still working on the Felicity engineer task. Was looking for Chemical Processors and found a thread about Davs Hope. Made it out there but none to be found. Perhaps the latest upgrade mixed things up a bit to keep things interesting. Anyway looking for a place to get this item.

Thanks in advance...

Unless something changed in the latest patch, you don't need to switch between open and solo at Dav's Hope. You do need to relog, but you can go back into the same mode you were in prior.

I had a lot of fun at Dav's Hope. Going round the circuit over and over, it became a sort of test of skill in the end. I started (no, seriously) keeping a stop watch and seeing how long it took me to get round the entire "course", gather the mats and scan the data.

The fact that the recovered data logs point out what a bunch of absolute murdering bar stewards the operators of the mine were, notwithstanding, I had plenty of fun zooming round in my SRV. I made a sort of time trial out of it :D.

The big one for me was Chemical Manipulators. They're like Hens' teeth.
Eventually I managed to get enough to fill my needs. After a lot of work :).

Just log to the main menu and back in again, and scoop up everything over and over.
Chemical processors will only show up in certain locations there, but all that stuff will be valuable later.
Don't forget to scan the data tower each lap too.

The story on the other data points is worth reading as well.

It bears noting that chemical manipulators > chemical processors.

That's a good alternative graphic to the one I know, thanks.

BTW - I start my runs with drop #5 in that picture and work clockwise. The reason being that some items dropped at points 4 and 5 roll off to lodge against the outside structure and so are more "fiddly" to pick up there - by starting with them you pick them up before they can roll away. That just leaves spot #9 with a "fiddly" pickup.

P.S. Remember to target the circling ships as they often drop data - you can do this in turret view.

PS, you can get stuck to/on objects with the SRV, like at material spots 9 and 4.

Sometimes you can unsnag yourself by logging out or boosting, but I've had to self destruct on a few occasions.
You've been warned.

;)

Lol, that's what I do too.

I actually just came across that one and noticed it had the new mats added.

Thanks everyone and to Bob for the layout of Davs Hope rep inbound. How do you scan the data tower? Also if you keep picking up "stuff" with the SRV wouldn't you run out of cargo space on the main ship?

I'm a bit gobsmacked at the amount of charts, spread sheets, third party software etc with this sim. It's a lot to wrap your head around (but it's great that there is so much community involvement - wish I heard of this sim 4 years ago).

1. Be within 50m of the data point, enter turret view, target the red section (it rises up, hence you need the turret) and hold down the fire button you have assigned to the data link scanner in the fire groups (I use secondary fire button, you might need to bind the secondary fire button for the SRV if you have not done so already) - the scan animates (fills) and then you get a message.

2. The stuff you pick up are manufactured materials (for engineers and synthesis), these take no cargo space and are stored, like your raw element materials, in the TARDIS-pockets of your Remlok suit. ;)
