Can't find Rhenium... HELP!

Hello.
I've been trying to unlock human technologies and I need 198x Rhenium for that.
In Elite Wiki it says that it can be collected during mining only.
I've been Mining the Ice and Metal Rich rings already and didn't even get one piece.
Can anyone tell me where exactly I can find this mineral?
Thanks!

Thanks. I'll try this way.
Dunno why it says that I can get those by mining, but it is a lie...
Looking at you Frontier!
Its funny you say that but I got Rhenium for the first time ever (yay, new Codex entry!) by mining in the last CG, I mined extensively before and have been playing that game since the very first Alpha ;)

I think the real lie here is that its a supposedly common grade 1 mat. :D

It's very, very rare stuff but I have got quite a bit from mining prestige metallic rings. Don't know about the other type of rings. I think it's best if you just trade for it, you'll get it a lot quicker.

I don't think the grade of a natural material dictates how common it is. Take Arsenic at grade 2 and Tungsten (grade 2 or 3 I think) for example. At a guess, Arsenic would be a lot more common than it actually is at grade 2 yet I find Tungsten is a lot more common than Arsenic. 🤷‍♂️

I've got a mat bin full of the stuff, cant shift it. Like others say, find a mat you can lay your hands on easily and trade it. Do enough of that on a Thursday and you'll max your ARX out real quick.

Rhenium is available as a by-product while mining in rings around a Class I gas giant.

I think you're misreading that table - Class I means G1 (i.e. lowest grade), and is related to the material grade, not where it is found.

Oh. Welcome to my life in lower saxony 🥳 (I hate Carnival)
But I thought the Jecken would drink regardless.

Anyways.

Materials trader is the way to go for Rhenium. Fill up the high grades at the crystalline sites, and trade down.
Easy peasy.
You know how it is - without lower sexonians to tease and seduce it just isn't as much fun.
