Can't get Oculus Quest 2 working with Elite Dangerous

Just noticed this.

So the Frontier Launcher does pop up? I thought I remembered seeing that.

Then surely Oculus users don't need to rely on Steam VR? But can open Oculus Home and set it to allow 3rd party apps or whatever the setting is which should get Oculus Runtime to kick in?

Can you turn off steam once the launcher is open?
I can close the Steam launcher yes. I select Elite Dangerous, I get the popup option to play in pancake or VR, then the Frontier launcher appears and I can close the Steam launcher.

Thanks, I think you missed my point though.
...
there seems to be people who have bought a key from FD but are then requesting another key for Oculus in order to get VR using Oculus home
BUT
I haven't needed to do that. Hense my confusion.
Lucky you, I had to go through the key process :)
