Can't get rid of an occupied escape pod

Tried Search and Rescue contacts at two different stations. They won't open. Playing Odyssey on PC.

If you tried looking in the alpha section you would see it already reported.

But the thing is I'm not looking in that section and I'm still seeing Odyssey reports.
