Can't make DK2 work in extended mode

right, i can in direct mode but not in extended. You can run demo in extended?
There must be something preventing it from working.
Already uninstalled teamviewer because it installs a video driver but no change.
I'll keep you in touch, thx a lot for pointing me in the right direction

One more question. If you right click on the desktop and click "Screen resolution", do you have the "Multiple displays:" set to "Extend these displays" ?
.
My assumption is that this should be the default. I'm sure you can set this through the NVidia control panel somewhere, but I can't see it at the moment. And I don't think you should need to either if my memory serves me correctly.
.
The only thing I needed to do was adjust the orientation of the panel, which I did do in NVidia Control Panel, i.e. I have the Rift DK2 set to Portrait.

You're not using Windows 10 are you? I found this on the oculus forums.

It's worth having a search of the oculus forums as it looks as though other people have experienced similar problems getting extended mode to work.

I managed to make it work !!!

In my case, it was a teamviewer driver getting installed as 3d screen instead of oculus as generic plug and play screen in device manager.
This post led me to that : http://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/2cu0qq/how_i_got_my_dk2_working_with_positional_tracking/ Step 11
Thing is, i already thought about teamviewer as i uninstalled it before coming here posting my issue. But it has not been enough, that driver stayed.

Thx to cdettmar, Adam Lusardi, Wolfox, el_labero and starjim for helping me narrowing it down.

In all postings and listings, of what to do, to set up and run Elite in extended mode, nowhere i've seen being listed, that you have to "pause the Oculus-Rift" service - to be found in the OC utility menu under "tools - service - pause". When i do that, i get it working right away ...

That's because you don't have to do that anymore.
