Can't pay Bounty at Interstellar Factor

So, i had a little oopsie during a combat mission and gained a bounty and a bit of notoriety (1) at some during Update 13.
After 14 went live i waited until my Notoriety dropped back to 0 and went to an Interstellar Factor to pay my bounty. According to them there is no bounty on me.

While the game says otherwise.

Read about that it could be a bug with systems where the party that offers the bounty has a presence. So i went 100+ lightyears to another system with an interstellar factor. Same deal, according to them, i don't have a bounty on me.

I want to pay my 10.200 Credits bounty, but can't.

Please advice.

Does that other system also have a presence of that faction? And a 10.200 Cr. bounty might be a major faction bounty, i.e. with the feds or imps, so this could be an issue, too.

Myself, I didn't bother with that to this extent - when I found I couldn't pay my bounty neither locally nor at the next IF over, I turned myself in. Hopping back from the detainment ship was faster than finding an IF who would take my money.

I used to pay bounties on Horizons 3.8 because they were broken at interstellar factors on 4.0/EDO.

Now I guess I'll keep them.

Find an IF in a system where the faction that issued the bounty is not present.
IN 3.8 you could pay the bounty even if the faction was in the same system, in Odyssey you cannot do that anymore.

If you have a Interstellar bounty from the Federation do you have to find a station with zero federation factions? I've gone to an alliance station in an alliance system and I still can't pay off the bounty.

The important thing is whether the minor faction that issued the bounty has a presence in the system - so that is what to check to make sure they are not present so as to be able to use an IF in that system.

Well the bounty was issued to me by the Federation itself, not a minor faction. So once again, do there have to be zero federation factions at the station in order for me to pay off my bounty at an interstellar factor?

Yes - major faction bounties mean there must be no federation-aligned factions in the system. At least that is what I have been told, I am a bit of a goody-two-shoes and never had one of those.

Sorry I didn't read your earlier post properly before.

I have found that these bounties do not clear once paid until I relog (out to main menu and back). There is still a bit of a problem with these

(currently running Horizons4)

The only way I have been able to pay off a bounty recently is to log out of Odyssey and back in with Horizons 4.0. I can then pay the bounty at the factor. Quite annoying. For me at least, it didn't matter if the issuing faction had a presence in the system or not

For me (and I apologize for not being more clear!) I had incurred a Federation bounty (don't exactly know how*). Latest advice on this is that you have to find an Interstellar Factor in a system that has NO Federation-associated factions in it. That's not super-easy; it takes a bit of searching. Even then having "paid" the bounty, it still showed me as wanted when I looked at the Galmap in systems all around (with Fed factions) because the bounty hadn't registered, cleared, whatever.
...until I logged out and back in. 🤷‍♂️

* This appears to be a new thing. I have done countless of the types of missions that generated this bounty before the update without incurring this superpower bounty.

Even if this thread is a bit older, I want to share my experience, perhaps it helps others.

My problem was similar. Got a bounty from a minor faction for accidentially carrying prohibitted goods (now ppl be like..., sureee,... accidantially 😅, but thats another story). Anyway, the minor faction was located only in one system according INARA. After going to 3 different IF, the last 100 LY away (even I knew, thats not gonna help) I couldnt pay it. It just didnt exist.
After I logged off and on again, it was there straight away at the IF. And I dont even have Odyssey. I play Horizon 4.0.
Clearly a bug.
