I obtained all 50 as transport passenger mission rewards in Aditi whilst working on my Empire rank. They were always to the neighbouring system.

It might just be that Delkar 10 has got more Bromolite. I picked up some from there yesterday.
When you're prospecting for a particular ore, fill yer hold with limpets. You have to fire off prospectors like popcorn. It's better to have to dump a few limpets to make cargo space than to have to go back to a station to get more.

Saturn has an icy belt, so yes it does have bromellite. But the Sol system is depleted reserves. It would be a very long and frustrating experience to mine anything there. Icy rings have pathetic enough amounts of minerals even in pristine rings, less than half the yield of metallic rings, without resorting to mining depleted icy rings.
How do you think I repped up so fast?
I don't fly in to a RES or nav beacon without cargo anymore.
My god, I'd actually have to fly to the pirates...

I did rep up before going mining, but I did load up on cargo before heading to the CNB in my mission running Anaconda.
Which is pretty much identical to my mining Anaconda, but with Packhounds where the mining lasers go.
I fly in, and fight until either;
A) Things are under control, then keep fighting.
B) It all goes horribly wrong and i end up 'donating' my cargo to a pirate, which distracts them long enough to kill them. Then I pick up my cargo and carry on.
That's why ice mining sucks. Bromelite is rarer than platinum and only worth as much as praseodymium.

First up, do you have the Alioth permit? Don't waste time mining if not.
20 prospectors used isn't that many, just keep looking, you have been a bit unlucky so far

Ugh, yes. I had to run a bunch of missions to get the dumb permit, all the while, lugging 50 tons of bromellite around. That was fun.
