Can’t stop nerfing?

How does everyone feel about the recent mining nerf? As well as the wing trade nerf from long ago? As if this game isn’t grindy enough. The want to keep players or the care about their players doesn’t seem to be there. I travel for my job and play 4 days out of 10 so I don’t have this time. This is why I loved mining or the wing trades. I could keep up with those that play everyday somewhat. Now I feel like i should uninstall this game. It’s all grind and no fun anymore. Any good money you can make they nerf. I.E. Frontier: making money? Don’t worry we’ll nerf it.

"How does everyone feel about the recent mining nerf?"

I feel that it's not a nerf and doesn't go far enough to rebalance the ridiculous profit from mining. I think you should probably uninstall the game as well, for what it's worth. If it's no fun why do it? If you feel it's a "grind" what's the point? Uninstall and play something fun.

If I may ask OP, though it's considered not polite - what's your credit balance? I mean, on how many millions are you now stuck?

Maybe people will be more considerable about your disapproving if you're on, like, 100 millions and a Cobra.

Even in that situation he can be in an Anaconda withing hours if he just seeks out a market that isn't being saturated.

Does anyone just mine for the fun of it or is it all about making the most amount of money in a set amount of time?

My mining ship is a challenger with a 64 ton cargo bay. It can blast any pirate, wiggle between the rocks, has centre line hardpoints for intuitive aiming of fixed mining stuff and moves like an eel for easy manual scooping of tasty space loot.

The good ship "Stinky pete"

Loads of fun. Definitely not even close to being min-maxed for cash, having said that it can land at outposts which is apparently an advantage for mining now.

Before I went exploring again I was back to that and never regret that: deep core mining in a Cobra Mk4 (pacifist edition) without collector limpets that still allows up to 120 million in one run. Outcome is not comparable to other methods but always reminds me that no boredom can be compensated by credits.

Indeed, and i suppose with core mining its nice dodging in and out of rocks. Couldn't imagine going back to limpetless mining with surface mining though :D

I honestly don't mind :) I go mining so rarely it will make no noticable difference to my 'vast fortunes' (800 mill, 300 mill & 10 mill) as most of my income comes from anything but mining, I also don't have billions - what is the point?

what is the point?
Apparently we have the incoming money pit that is fleet carriers. You know, because all games eventually need something to hoover up the wealth. On the bright side, I will probably never own one. I'm tired of massive ships and logistics and whatnot. I just want to fly.

I feel it’s a good thing.
the games been made steadily easier, from when it was first released.
back at the start we had to really work to obtain our dream ship, and we really did have to put in mega hours.
The sense of achievement when we finally reached our goal! It really made you appreciate the ships you had.
Too many people in this instant gratification world, want it all with minimal effort.

But even Frontier only described the cost of buying a FC as "A large amount of credits", which is about as flexible as it gets :)
Even with my meagre funds, should I wish to buy one (my alt account has plans around one, and currently has under 300 million) I'll have a direction to aim in WRT credits - everyday play doesn't require much - apart from ships/module purchasing, all of which can be planned.

Just explaining that I'm particularly lazy and prefer to just 'play' and enjoy myself - incredibly selfish :)
(which is in perfect agreement with you - I just want to fly!)

My mining/trade Cutter is now only a trading one. The Krait which was collecting dust in the back of my storage bin at the rock is being retooled as a mining vessel.
This game is doomed for the 1000s of times. No, nobody can haz my stuff. I need it to do all the other fun things in the game, not that mining was fun to begin with.
