Is there a way to extract historical log data?

I'm not sure what exactly you mean, but no.
If you want to keep track of your recent and past movement, systems (possibly prices, etc.) you simply have to write it down.

I think he means the Captains Log tool.
Never used it myself, just use Slopey for logging my trips
