Speaking for myself, I wasn't trying to beat a dead horse. I was trying to help you get to the bottom of a misunderstanding that may come back and bite you again in your new ship.

This comment from you is strongly suggesting that you are mis-reading something, somewhere.
And if you had actually bothered to look at the thread you would see that I already stated what that misunderstanding was.

You are in fact beating a dead horse because you're not READING THE THREAD.

Let's review one more time for the reading impaired:

But it doesn't display on that screen that you have two of those units taken up by a car. So you accept the mission thinking it's an easy one and then you find you have to make two trips to pull it off.

That is where it's confusing. In the beginning you don't even know about panel 4. You just look at your ships stats and assume if it says 4 you have 4.

Read that about 5 times and see if it sinks in that the ship stats I was looking at were what confused me because I didn't know about the panel you open up with the 4 key that displays the actual load and what is available and what takes up space.

Now can you PLEASE stop beating this dead horse?! I'm sick to death of getting alerts over it.

Good god, you rude . See if you can get your head around the fact that "ship stats" is not well enough defined for me or anyone else to know what you meant by it. There are sadly FAR too many places to see ship stats, including websites that you can upload stuff to, where it's actually often easier to read than within the game interface itself.
Rest assured I won't attempt to help you again.

And if you had actually bothered to look at the thread you would ....

You might not have noticed but in this part of the forum we try to keep it polite and helpful. Going all snippy and rude about people trying to get to the bottom of your misunderstanding so as to help you is not conducive to anyone bothering to help you again in the future.

Just to complete your education on this facet - in the past we were not able to accept missions if we did not have the cargo capacity for all of the goods in that mission. This was altered to the current situation where you have a "bunker" to draw mission cargo from or to deliver to in part loads. Some missions still are capacity locked.

Well, apparently being polite doesn't get it done. The guy simply WILL NOT LET IT GO. Jesus wept.
Yes but the best way to deal with that is just point them politely to the post they missed or explain that you have the solution or just don't bother responding at all.

Be aware that it is quite possible that in a few weeks/months/years someone will raise the dead thread and either offer more advice you don't need or ask you how you overcame the problem. Thread necromancy is all too common.
