Carrier expectations?

Hello fellow CMDRs,

Thank you for the update today Frontier! I already had all the space services on my carrier and the first thing I did was to disembark and check out all the new features and services. I'd been so excited about this and as a player since beta 2014 (7,200 ish hours), I had high hopes after how badly Frontier handled the console situation.

After having a look at the command centre, I was sure my carrier was bugged as it only had a shipyard. I found that I needed to get 3 new services for the interior, so went and got those added in a carrier admin system. I hoped that might fix the issue of so many missing services. Then much to my disappointment I soon realised, no, the carrier wasn't bugged but most of the services simply don't get shown.

Was it just me who expected to see a hell of a lot more services? Did you expect the carrier to be so small or did you assume Frontier might have learned from Odyssey's mistakes of using such tiny ports, no corridors in starports but instead, a pointless massive hanger to waste time every time you use your ship?

What's your views on the interiors please? Cheers

Did they fix the long-standing bug where the robot-voiced announcer says "Carrier jump complete" and stuff about telemetry checks, before the FC jumps? That is really annoying. You'd think it'd be a fairly easy fix, too.

Well, I was hoping I'd be able to walk down and check out just what is wrong with that airlock on deck 8...

I was hoping that social areas (e.g. the bar) would be there by default, as I'm not planning on buying any extra services for my FC.

There's room for improvements. And no doubt they'll listen and add. This is a good starting point.
Do feel for the dssa rigs having to dock etc for upgrades.

I'm ok with what they gave us, but yea, I kind of expected representation of all the services that I had installed and the bar to be standard. I can understand not having the tender do the trade thing.

Well they did a walkthrough so the size is not a surprise. Plus if you new how to do the glitch you pretty much got an early preview. As a long time player I do not expect the FC to expand much if at all gameplay wise. But as usual expect disappointment and never be disappointed (Life lessons from Spiderman). What I hope is that we do get some new gameplay that includes our little movable stations as it can be a nice tool and credit sink.
