CG predictions...

I moved enough stuff. I also qualified on the combat CG, by killing NPC pirates interdicting me.

Now, I can go back to my old friends, the rocks.

I wonder if Rackham's operation is going to lead to any CGs. It'd be a fairly niche location for them, if a spectacular one.
We'll more likely be asked to provide "stuff" to a station in the bubble in order to build this.

If we're delivering to the system itself and it's a FC only system then that CG is doomed to fail as it'll quickly fill up with "tourist" FCs blocking legit hauler FCs.

The problem is the system itself only reachable with Fleet Carriers (or very special builds of standard ships with a series of jumps with FSD boost). And when the system is full with carriers there will be not enough space for a proper CG event for the mass. A permit lock would make it problematic also.

BH has overtaken trucking. Not often we see CGs 'cross' each others - normally one will just pull away - and it's quite a gap

The BH one is the 'abnormal' one, normally Saturday is the biggest day

Looking at the posts in the Trade thread I wonder if some of the traders have switched to bounty hunting due to supply issues making the trade runs more time-consuming and less lucrative than they already were compared to the all new and overpaid bounties available, not to mention the option to stack Massacre Missions?

Though why there is such an obsession with making huge sums of virtual credits I don't understand, especially when many of those waxing lyrical about their credit earning potential already have Fleet Carriers and plenty of ships to fit on them

Could be a good assumption here, I am shifting the lower profit commodities now just to get numbers up and help the CG.

I started that way and have been single jumping each way the whole time while others have been going further out almost every trip in search of a decent supply.

CORE DYNAMICS FUNDS TAKEOVER WITH SHIP DISCOUNTS
Pilots Federation ALERT

Prices for several Core Dynamics vessels have been temporarily reduced, as part of an attempt to purchase Lakon Spaceways.

The shipbuilding corporation has applied a 30% discount to sales of the Eagle Mk II and the Vulture. There is also a 20% discount on sales of Federal Assault Ships, Federal Dropships and Federal Gunships, although the Federal Navy rank requirements for each vessel continue to apply.

The reduced prices are expected to last until the 30th of December 3306.

Core Dynamics recently made a proposal to acquire rival company Lakon Spaceways, which rejected the offer then applied markdowns to its own ships to increase short-term profits.

The Alliance Tribune’s business reporter Irfan Karim speculated on these developments:

“CEO Jupiter Rochester remains tight-lipped on the reasons for these discounts, but it seems likely that he is raising funds for a more aggressive bid. Rumours are circulating of Lakon investors being bribed to sell their shares, or coerced into demanding that the board of directors accepts ownership by Core Dynamics.”

“Many industry analysts are convinced that a hostile takeover of Lakon Spaceways is underway. If successful, we could see vessels that are commonly associated with the Alliance – such as the Chieftain and Type-10 Defender – manufactured by a Federal corporation in the future.”

From my perspective the effort seems somewhat lopsided, the initial group was about 3,000 but jumped up to 5,000 over the weekend.
However the bulk of the supplies are being handled by the top 10% or so, This is where the main movements in the numbers are happening whilst top 50% is still below 2000 tons. Keeping in the top 10% is quite a pace by comparison.

Life Imitates Art? :(
It's like putting up a friend of a friend who's been kicked out of their flat because they can't make rent and then seeing them eat all your ice cream and (poop) in the middle of the living room carpet.

I feel sorry for you and all, but... get outta my house.

That’s one of the prices you pay for having friends.
