Change in Scanner Behavior

With the release of 2.1 has the behavior of the scanners changed?

I'm now getting notification of...

20 Objects discovered
3 Objects discovered
1 Objects discovered

On landing in a System and Honking.

Before 2.1 I was just getting the standard 1 Objects followed by the result of the Honk X Objects.

It is rather.

Thanks, could be this. However, why do I still get the odd 1 Object?

If this ws now the case you'd expect a count for everything 100-200 Ls and then another count from the Honk.

The 1 object is typically the primary star, the smaller number likely to be the passive results and the third figure the results of the ADS honk?

I'll have to try and test it some more, but just had this one...

sounds plausible, will attempt to validate when I next see it happening..

This is correct, check the LHS panel as soon as you see the object count listed, you'll find it ties in.

Primary
Under 100Ls (need to test further to get correct distance)
Over 100Ls

There were a few reports raised about this during Beta, take a look here and here

I haven't noticed it since 2.1 went live, but I'm only using a basic scanner. If it's still happening it maybe needs reporting more.

I can confirm this for at least <60 Ls without honking. (And I put it on extended range of the 'FSD gravitational wave scanner' or whatever it is that let's objects close by be discovered as well.)

I can confirm that it will not passively detect a planet at > 70 Ls. Jumped into a system and got a 10 Objects message, which was the primary + 9 asteroids. The first planet was the 11th item, and it was at 70.2 Ls.

This could also be due to something less obvious, such as changes in how they handle data networking server-side or other technical shenanigans.

My ADS has not picked up any bases on the Landable Planets even though I have a Depot to Deliver a Mission to. Nothing in Nav Panel nor Maps shows anything on them yet I've tried all places to honk at including close to the Nav Beacon.

From the other forum reports I've seen, missions can be bugged. Also, if it's your first time in an uncharted system, bases will show up as <unexplored> along with their planet. Scanning the planet will reveal them.
