Newcomer / Intro Changing name??

Hi there,

can anyone tell me how to change my name from Commmander Backer to a real name?
Found some threads but the link to the support site doesn't show me a commander Profile anymore...

I think you have to clear your save, then you can enter a commander name - but I ain't 100% sure.

i never got an option to enter a name as a backer. they just gave me the backer #

I changed my name in Alpha by going to the support site , going to Profile and on top left was the option for name to change ...for me, now that option doesn't exist now.

Should be Options, Clear Save. Then it'll allow you to enter a new commander name but it resets you back to the start. At least that was how you did it a week or so ago. I don't think they've changed it.

Mods are on the Forum - Not the Game.

When you start a new game, there is a box shown with you commanders name.

If you've just joined, it will probably say something like Backer#826262

Click on it and change the name to something you want.

Don't forget that there can only be one of each name within the game, so you may find a name already registered.
