Changing username

Hi.
I have changed my username on here and on Inara. It is now my surname.
Cmdr deserted-crib3 just didn't sound right.

I also want to change my username on the Sony PlayStation site too, but it came up with a warning saying that some games will not like a change of name and therefore it could result in the game not working properly, losing progress, etc...

Has anyone changed their username on the Sony site and then logged into ED?

If so, was there any problems?

First discoveries will not link to you as you will no longer be that profile and thats it.
You are now a PSN number and that number now converts to new PSN ID displayed name on every game ...
Nothing else changes in EDH as they patched in support in patch before it was live..

But fdev will not retroactively go through every planet and system after the change and alter it. so first discoveries will display the old name...

Your save games are local PSN ID paired so nothing happens to them and they only do controls and setting...
Your PSN number is auto paired to two PSN IDS for a time as you can roll back with in the limited time after change...

I'm not too bothered about 'first tags' really.
It will give me the excuse to go exploring again and spam the galaxy with my surname lol.

All this depends on whether Sony will accept the username that I want.

I changed my name a lot and had no problems with progress, It works with Elite however you may only change your forum name 5 times I think. I'm sticking with Wingbacon. My other name was Arrow River incase any of you forgot.
