chasing codex bio & Geo entries

I'm trying to confirm the bio & geo codex entries but I'm getting a bit confused. the volcanism doesn't seem to be specific to one type of entry eg silicate vapour geysers turned out to be silicate magma lava spout, silicate vapour fumarole and silicate vapour ice fumarole. I thought maybe the planet they were on would help determine what you find but again the were on high metal contents so that didn't help either. Does anyone have a way of working out whats down there without having to check them all out ?

Ive found that figuring out what your going to find at a geological location doesnt always make sense. I decided to write down what it says on the system map, and what it turned out to be when I actually went and used the composition scanner. This should help to at least give an idea what to...

For biologicals, first read the entries for the different types in the Codex, they can give clues as to what types of systems they can be found in. For example, the types of Anenomae I have found have always been on hot blue stars like A & B, because they depend on the high-energy radiation from these kinds of stars to perform their version of photosynthesis. I'll be checking some O stars I found lately and see if they also qualify.

Bark mounds are like lower-energy weeds, showing up in the cooler star systems and often populating numerous planets.

In all cases of biologicals I have discovered so far, there is only one type per system but I cannot guarantee that is a certainty as I don't have enough samples yet. I always scan at least one on each planet with a biological signal. It's a nice break from DSS mapping :).
