Horizons Cheapest Place to get a Anaconda?

Isn't Hutton Orbital still the cheapest?
I was sure there was a 90% discount there... though very limited supply - so you'd need to be very lucky with your timing.

I am pretty sure the biggest issue was to be able to get out of the dock, as the hole was made a tiny bit to small, so it was yours if you managed to get it out of there.... atleast that is what I heard regarding why it was "free"...

When you can jump in a T6 and get 100 million in an hour mining LTDs, why would anybody waste time looking for discounted ships? Discounts are pointless now.

Apart from that, buying an Anaconda on a budget has always been a bad idea. Never buy a ship unless you can properly outfit it for the task in hand.

To answer the op in the direct response to the title question:

the word on the street is that the cheapest way to buy an anaconda is in solo.

:ROFLMAO:

Is it possible to sell ships at a loss with carriers? I meant to test that on the betas but didn't get around to it. If it is possible, I expect that some commanders with way more credits than they can ever spend may actually offer nearly free Anacondas in the same orbit as Hutton Orbital as a stunt.

You all should stop telling people to go to Hutton Orbital. There is no free anaconda, all you get is a coffee mug.
it’s a cruel joke if you waste some trusting newbies afternoon flying 500k Ls out there.

First, since this thread was necro-ed twice, and is from 2017, some of those CMDR have probably stopped the joke a long time ago.

Also, it's a good lesson that you shouldn't trust blindly what you read on the internet, especially when it sound too good to be true. This is also true IRL,a nd it doesn't even need to be too good to be true.
So there you go, free life lesson that will come handy in the future.

As a noob, I was once confronted to the joke. But since I'm not new in life, I thought that it was very weird (why a free anaconda ? Why there ? Why such an expensive ship ?), so I double checked what I read and find out the truth.
