Cheat codes

Trainers are programs you run alongside a game that allow you to cheat. There's one for JWE that allows you to have infinite money, instant 5 stars, instant building and incubation. I used one for instant incubation when I was making a wildlife reserve type park with many dinosaurs and a single hatchery. I believe it was from "Mr Trainer" which you can google.

Why doesn't it make any sense? You take a product that the developers worked very hard to get out, and you don't want to credit that hard work by cheating and making it more convenient for yourself? You cheat a musician by not buying the music. Can't see how that's hard to understand...

And yes some people may not get the skins? That's a part of life. We don't all drive around in Maserati's either. That doesn't mean you go cheat on your taxes for example... Well who knows. haha. Maybe you guys do...
This is still absolute nonsense that doesn't apply. Your analogy really isn't comparable. The whole not buying doesn't enter into it at all. The people who are hypothetically using cheats are still buying the game.

You buy a product. You are it's owner and can do with it what you want. No one else has a say in the matter. In a singleplayer game no one else is part of the experience. After you buy the game, why is it wrong to use cheats if you get more enjoyment out of it by using cheats? In a hypothetical scenario; If Bob uses cheats in his singleplayer game and Frank doesn't use cheats in his singleplayer game, Frank is unaffected by it and can still have fun playing his game.

Yes but like I said, it's crazy disrespectful towards the manufacturer. You have a totally fine product, so why ruin it? Guess I'm just not a cheater. Haha
Because for some, using a cheat isn't ruining the experience. Instead it is improving it. This might be because the game is too hard. This might be because the player doesn't have the time to complete the game. Multiplayer games of course are a different thing altogether. Since in multiplayer games cheating does affect other players. And for that reason cheating in multiplayer games should not be tolerated.
But in singleplayer games it doesn't affect anyone else.

Editing a game against the wishes of the developed might be disrespectful. But If a developer adds cheats into a game is it not a problem at all. That is basically what I'm advocating for. It would be a net positive if Frontier were to add cheats because it doesn't affect anyone that doesn't use them and it can improve the experience of the players that do use them. Back in the day nearly all games had cheats and it was never a problem until people made achievements artificially important. But this shouldn't be a problem at all since achievements can be turned off when using cheats, which many games already do.

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind if JWE had a few cheat codes enabled. After all both Planet Coaster and Jurassic Park Operation Genesis, JWE's sister game and predecessor, so it seems quite fitting for JWE to follow in their footsteps.

A couple of examples for cheat codes would be to unlock one Challenge Mode (Any Difficulty) skin and one Jurassic Mode skin of a player's choice. For example, if I were to enter these particular cheat codes into the game, I would choose to unlock Apatosaurus' Rainforest skin and Brachiosaurus' Vivid skin. However, if I want to unlock any of the other skins, I would have to play Challenge Mode.

Overall, these Cheat Codes would provide players the option to gain immediate access to two skins of their choice; while at the same time, maintaining the requirement to play Challenge Mode.

I think things like auto storms should be a thing. I wanted to make a ruined park so I turned storms on, I got one soon after but it dissipated before letting a third of the dinosaurs free. I then waited for the next one to finish the job. And waited. And waited. About 4 hours later I got one. It didn’t free any more dinosaurs. If I want to have 5 storms wrecking my park at once I should be able to. I also agree with people about the auto unlock skins. I bought the game which now includes those skins and I should be able to use them. I understand business wise why the won’t do that though. It essentially means people are spending less time on the game and I don’t think it unreasonable to assume that means people will buy less dlc and so on

That makes no sense whatsoever. The players are still buying the game, but they would just be having fun the way they want instead of someone else that is not playing the same game. It's like me saying you cannot use the high rating dinosaurs in your park to boost your park score. It's none of my business how you make your parks. And if you want to cheat to get a better scoring park, then you should go right ahead.

I can somewhat understand the disabling of achievements. Though those really don't matter either. But disabling the rewards seems quite excessive. What if a player really wants those skin unlocks in challenge mode but is having a seriously hard time to unlock them? Who is anyone else to say they cannot use some cheats to make it easier. Those unlocked skins only affect those players of the game and not anyone else. Were cheats to be added and rewards disabled when cheats are on would seem almost vindictive.

Cheats, in a singleplayer game, make the game more accessible to more people.

Then you try harder and put some effort into it.

If you want the skins. Just beat the main campaign and the Dr. Wu DLC and then go get someone's save game who has all the skins unlocked.

No cheats needed.

Go to Nublar and build some enclosures with Dinosaurs. Don't put any food or water in the enclosures. Then just let them break out.

This is the kind of toxic gatekeeping that we don't need any more of. You're brushing off players who might seriously be struggling to enjoy a game but can't because it's too hard for them. What is your problem with people enjoying something differently? Would you say "put some effort into it" to someone who perhaps has a disability? It's a singleplayer game and someone else's playthrough does not affect you, so why are you judging people on it?

I also personally don't need to use cheats or even want to.
If there were cheats in the game I would very likely never use even them. But just because I don't personally need cheats doesn't mean others might benefit from them. Having more people being able to enjoy the game is a good thing. Why does it matter if some enjoy something in a different way than you do?

That’s not really an option for those who have the game for Xbox One and PS4.

It also sounds like too much of a faff anyway, trying to get someone else’s save game onto your version in order to gain access to the skins. It would be much easier and quicker to be able to enter a couple of cheat codes to get the skins that the player wants.

Have tried to complete the challenge mode the honest way and spent way too many hours trying to just get one island completed in challenge mode for one alt-skin. I would gladly cheat my way to get them rather than burst another blood vessel in my eye with this stress test. It sucks the fun out of the game and I don't care about trophies. So yes if anyone has any idea how to get them on the PS4 I would love to know.

Oh no I might have to work hard for something. It's not fair.

Sorry but life isn't fair. A lot of stuff doesn't come easy. If they are disabled to a certain point than they don't play video games. They probably don't do much of anything. I don't see how a disability could stop someone from getting the skins. That's just ridiculous.

for their own game.

It's not that hard. You just download someone's save file and then copy into your own save folder. I can't believe that's seen as too much work. lol

I guess the hard part would be finding a save file online but I bet you can. You could also ask someone to give you their save file like on some kind of file uploading and sharing website. It's really not that hard. I used to use peoples save files on the PC version of GTA Sand Andreas. Plus by using other peoples save files you can see how they ran their parks which is kind of interesting. Like finding an old save file on an old cartridge game.

Being able to use other peoples saves is just one of the many perks of PC gaming. ;)

Wow, just wow. I'm quite frankly disgusted with your attitude. I have nothing more to say to you.

You are wrong (Kind of).

Even the most disabled person deserves to play this game. Anyone anywhere can play this game. I don't care if they are stuck in a wheelchair, heck even if they had Motor neurone disease (If you are confused Stephen Hawking had this).

"I don't see how a disability can stop you from getting the skins". You are incorrect there. For the sake of it I'm going to stray away from being wheelchair bound etc now. I'm assuming you mean other forms of disabilities such as ASD, OCD, ADHD.
To start off with i'm going to do ASD (Mainly because I am diagnosed with it and I know the struggles). ASD or Autism is a disorder that impairs the ability to communicate and interact. While this statement isn't really necessary the next part is. Autism can make people angry or become aggressive really quickly and they can find it hard to do many things. Quite recently I was trying to complete Pena on Jurassic and started feeling angry about "certain issues" with the park. but I've learned to cope with it. My version of coping was literally killing every dinosaur that caused me problems during Pena on Nublar. Many examples of autistic kids being angry can mean broken controllers and shattered TV/monitor screens. That is simply one reason why a disability can stop someone from getting the skins.

OCD is next. Many people know this. Basically the have troubled by reoccurring thoughts, images or impulses. One reason why this can affect their view on Challenge Mode is that fact that they can remember failed attempts really easily and can get very worried and anxious thinking it will happen again. Also the part of OCD that everyone knows about is symmetry. Not everyone with OCD has this but many people do. When making a park on Challenge mode they will want everything to be symmetrical or straight. Even the slightest change that they cannot fix can send them "mental". That is a second way people with disabilities cannot get the skins.

The last one i'm going to touch up on is ADHD. This is hyperactivity. This is basically a problem in Challenge Mode when you hit a big wall. Challenge Mode is mainly a waiting game and people with ADHD can hate waiting. I'm really tired so i'm just leaving you with the simple reason. This is a third way a person with disabilities cannot complete Challenge Mode.

Before you start replying I know there are ways that people with these disabilities can simply get help from a psychologist or psychiatrist but this is time consuming and they might think that there is no literal point of doing that for a game (unless they desire the skins so much then they do so).

Now I have a mild form of OCD and I've myself been using numerous hours remaking parks over and over, because there's no proper way to allign stuff. I'm not gonna ever touch challenge mode, strictly because of this... My point being, you don't need the skin to play the game and enjoy it? There are just some things some people can't do. I can't take control of an airplane, and I'm not going to try. I can't benchpress 200 kg and I'm not going to try. Everything is not for anyone. I can totally understand, that we want everybody to enjoy the game. Of course, we all want that. But reality is many people are being left out of things, because you can't please everyone.

And every disabled person can already play the game, so I don't understand the opening statement. :D

Let’s also not forget people who just don’t care about getting all of the game's achievements, or don’t have the time to do it. They just want to be able sit down after a long, hard day at work or school, and enjoy JWE. For these players, Jurassic Difficulty essentially takes the fun away from the game by locking away fantastic looking skins in a mode that is beyond frustrating and incredibly punishing, making it not worth the time, the effort and heartache to participate. The skins are also tied to the game's mechanics, adding 25% in popularity for that species of dinosaur, making them more popular for the park’s visitors.

What I think should be done to satisfy this group of players, as well as the players with disabilities mentioned in previous posts, is to enable cheat codes that unlock a Jurassic Difficulty skin of a player’s choice. However, whilst this would unlock their chosen skin/skins, if those players want to get the achievement that they have participated in Jurassic Difficulty, then they have to play that particular level for Challenge Mode.

I agree. But most people that doesn't care about all the achievements or stars (like myself) you can still enjoy the game. I haven't even unlocked all the dinosaurs yet. I'm all about making visually stunning parks. And that won't get you 5 stars unfortunately. haha. But since I'm not about achievements or anything like that, I couldn't care less about the skin as well. Don't need it. :D
