Chieftain Weapon Layouts - how did you do it?

3 small rails, and the rest plasma. Works a treat. I haven't figured out what I want for my specials yet.

I threw on a biweave and hull tanked it out (2 module reinforcements on the military slots. Canopy issues? What canopy issues? AFMU keeps everything topped up).

I've only PvE in it so far. I realize rails will blow through the canopy, but NPCs aren't good enough to do that to me. :p

Two large pulses...efficient
Three small multis with corrosive effects
Missile launcher in the medium slot

I dont use any out of game resources to help with builds...thats simply what works fer me through trial and error...the old fashioned way. I can take on elite condas NPC without breaking a sweat with everything below that being fairly straightforward. Multiple enemies are a problem though as its only semi engineered so to speak. Cool ship I love it fer doin donkey work and mat farming that doesnt run away all the time...its got teeth and then some.

Edit...the ship does seem a bit more prone to losing the canopy than others, although its not the worst fer it either to be fair. Its in the top 3 ships that are prone to losing canopies from what Ive see so far. Suppose its just the hidden cost of having what is otherwise a brilliant wee ship ^

I’ve been messing around with Large and Medium pulse lasers. And rails on the 1’s. The internals are modified. But, the weapons are not, yet. I do like the rails on it, especially in green effect.

With max dirty drives, I’m toppiuout at 500 m/s, with a jump range of 28ly.
 
Isn't the seeker missiles really cost in-efficient for conflict zones and RES hunting though, as well as run out of ammo fast?

I find the ammunition of 12 sufficient for the average time I would spend in a Haz RES or CZ before tiring of it. On the rare occasions when I run out before I'm done, I just synthesise more. Point is, I don't do long hours of 'farming'.

Missiles are very useful for targeted bounty hunting (proper hunting not farming).
 
3 x Small Seeker Missile Launchers (High Capacity - 2 x Thermal Cascade, 1 x Drag)
2 x Large Gimballed Multicannon (Long Range - Autoloader)
1 x Medium Turreted Burst (Long Range - Phased Sequencing)

Essentially the same as I used in the Beta.
 
All S1 and S2 ones are fixed beams with various mods
The two big ones are gimballed multi canons with autoloaders, no special effects yet.

Efficient enough against larger targets, dancing around until they down their shields on 2 blips in weapons and 4 in mobility. Nothing fancy.
It's too twitchy for anything that isn't beams for fixed weapons IMO.
