Chorded Keys on Flight Stick

I have attempted to replace all buttons on my T-Flight Hotas X with the same combos as the xbox configutation, and altho they chorded key combos work, they also still activate the original button presses. For example, holding "X" and pressing "Left Dpad" both focuses the panel AND deploys/retracts my hardpoints.

personally I use an xbox pad without any combos at all utilizing voice control etc to call up panels etc "navcom" being the spoken command for panel default keypress 1 for eg
voice attack is not only voice it can do keypresses via long press key commands via joystick as well
its free for one profile (elite for eg) to try indefinitely
there probably is a way to program your joy to use combos without activating others but I cant advice you there as like I say I don't use combos preferring voice control via VA https://voiceattack.com/
panels for eg can be set to appear only on keypress via in game binding settings handy if using a headtracker and you don't want them unwantingly getting in the way of your view
also you can purchase dedicated elite voice packs from hcs but personally I made my own https://www.hcsvoicepacks.com/
utilizing audacity free to make response sound samples for any given keypress resonse to keypress 1 "navcom activated" in a robotic voice for eg

Thank you for your reply. I have heard of Voice Attack before, and seen it in other threads regarding this flight stick and setting up chorded keys, but I would just like to make sure that this is impossible before resorting to x360ce or returning the stick.

I think most things are joy possible try setting panels in bindings to does nothing for eg...…….
(and as va is free to try you have nowt to loose m8 its ui is self explanatory and easy to use too commands can be set up in seconds and on the fly pretty much via alt tabbing )

It makes sense though. Unless you can reliably press both buttons simultaneously, the input of one or the other is going to get registered first. I use one button as a "Shift" on my HOTAS so it essentially doubles all my input options but that button is bound to nothing so I can reliably do combos without some extra function popping off. 🤷‍♂️

Apparently some people dont know that on Xbox, Boost is B, and deploy Cargo Scoop is B + Down. All face buttons have the ability to press almost any other button for a seperate command. And it works and it doesnt fire off boost every time i try to deploy my cargo scoop. If i was incompetent at pressing buttons I wouldn't be here asking on an official forum.
Can anyone reliably confirm or deny this is possible with a flight stick, why not, and why Elite has seperate binding code for controllers than flight pads?

whist this is an official forum the devs don't read every post its mostly just us cmdr;s & forum moderators who post ere
mostly...………...
wanna official answer contact support via a ticket https://customersupport.frontier.co.uk/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360003260740
it may be all you have to do is make the hotas think its a x box controller Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/hotas/comments/r49ms1/is_there_any_way_to_make_my_pc_see_my_hotas_as_a/
🤷‍♂️
or a cmdr may be along sooner or much l6tr who has emulated the console xbox default context preset to the t flight hotas x
you may even get lucky and find a suitable bind file here https://edrefcard.info/binds/etakan after searching

Oh, I knew that. It's just not something that works that way on PC devices. Never has. I suspect consoles (or maybe the console controller binds input) does something to delay input to detect that. Maybe there are PC programs that could do that too. 🤷‍♂️

Here's one to try.
I play on Nvidia Shield Pro TV using my DS4 controller as I am ex PS4 player :(
It only recognises it as an XBox controller and so no rumble or touchpad use on GeForce Now (n)

In Options, Controls, Ship Controls, go down to Miscellaneous then go down to ENABLE CONTEXTMENU IN SHIP.
Toggle this ON in flight and see if this makes a difference.
I had to set this ON to get multiple sub-control bindings working on the DS4 controller such as Landing Gear is <hold>B+<down> (<hold>O+<down> on DS4)
This enables the context menus when holding any key down - opens the sub menu for another key press.

I don't have a Hotas so don't know for sure, but you may as well try it.
