Chryseum Void Heart in Notable Stellar Phenomena

Just found some Chryseum Void Hearts in a Notable Stellar Phenomena. Haven't been able to find anything on Google or on the Wiki page yet (http://elite-dangerous.wikia.com/wiki/Notable_Stellar_Phenomena). Anyone have a clue what these are? I don't have any weapons at all so can't shoot at it to find out?

Wow - thanks for sharing +1 :)
did you use your Short Range Composition Scanner?

Very nice! Did you scan them? Are they in the codex now? What region?

Actually, don't answer these questions. I just realized this is one flaw with the Codex. Since it updates instantly, it opens these discoveries up to tag-sniping. If it's nearby, I would accidentally end up sniping your tags. I tend to get back to bases and sell data a little faster than most.

Thankfully this wasn't the case with the Amphora Plants (where I am now), since everything is already safely tagged.

Codex says: it's in the Empyrean Straits. Near nebula EORL AUWSY AA-A H72. An area were I have been 2 days ago and searched and searched and searched...

But the Observations are beta-style: LOCATIONS FOUND: TESTQA

Yeah on my way back on a marathon run to get it cashed in hopefully. Thought I was just missing something and didn't know where to find the details on it. Didn't realize it was a new thing. But yeah the Codex as mentioned already tells everyone where it is already, so I'm probably screwed as in the US after work means everyone in Europe and the UK had a 7+ hour head start on me.

Only reason I posted it was because I thought I needed to do something with it that I couldn't figure out. Damn...

Actually, codex updates as soon as you scan something rather than after the data being sold, so the tag is safe. I tested it with some tags I got in Vulcan Gate by logging into second commander. Not found anything really interesting or new though. And these are in codex... I periodically look through all the regions looking for new things found, and I noticed then when I was online earlier.

That's good to know. I would assume there would be a lot of mad people if they tagged something, then someone else found it in the Codex and then went and scanned it and cashed it in before the first person.

Nice, which system?

I submitted an entry for it.

Yes just target one and fire off the Composition Scanner.

Yes scanned them with the Comp scanner. And there's a picture someone just posted from the Codex. Can't remember where in there it is as I haven't gone into detail looking at the Codex yet.

No, I meant tags on the bodies in the system. I don't want to snipe those accidentally. I wasn't talking about the codex entry itself.

The system was already discovered. I just mapped one or two planets and that was it. The only reason I was there was because I knew brain trees existed and I wanted to see how Biological POI's showed up on the new FSS/DSS scanners so I could document how they looked. Then just happened to have the Phenemonena's show up as I was about to see the Brain Trees.

So you can map some of the other planets without any issue if they haven't already been mapped yet...

Visited today, and found that someone also tagged the octahedral pods there, for the codex. I verified that those can be sampled with research limpets.

Dang, the Void Hearts are huge... like asteroids.
