Civil war means conflict zones

Just saw one of the minor factions in civl war in Ross 128, but no conflict zones.

I believe that if you don't take missions but just enter the battle zone and collect the bounties and have them payed in at the station that then you don't loose any reputation.
I fought for Durius and I was alied with the Empire before. And I am still alied with them despite I killed many of their ships int his zones.

A related question:
As I remember, despite taking a combat-mission from side A in a war, you may choose side B when arriving at the conflict zone, shooting at ships associated with side A and, after having fulfilled your mission target, cash in the revenue from side A?

IIRC, the ware-zone missions only ask for "killing kombat ships" and never specify the side you have to choose.
Am I correct? And if I am... does this make any sense?

Yeah, I'm in the same genral area. YV Ceti and Tau Ceti both have one of their stations marked as in a state of civil war, but their other stations aren't - and no sign of conflict that I've seen.

It makes me wonder if conflict zones require a system where all stations are in a state of civil war in order for the conflict zone to exist. Van Maanen Star is one such nearby system, but it requires a permit.

Is anyone actually sure that Civil war means fighting between Faction A and Faction B? Wouldn't it make more sense for the state of Faction A fighting faction B to be "War"?

Could it be that the "Civil War" state is within-the-faction fighting because of certain conditions not being met? Could civil war change the faction's government type from "Political" to "Dictatorship" or something?

Panem has no Civil War, its WAR! maybe thats why it has conflict zone?

There's a few conflict zones in Barnard's Star because of a Civil War. I remember the same being in Eranin in Beta 3. Or some other system close to Eranin...can't remember.
So I would say yes Civil War = conflict zones.

need to be in open world to find the conflict zones, seems they dont apear in solo mode

This isnt the case, I have just been playing in solo mode and I docked at a station right next to a conflict zone.

Found servral CZ in Durius system both low and high intensity but neither station had any missions relating to them, just the usual hunt down a certain pirate stuff. Is it through a mission that we choose a faction?

Went to one high intensity CZ and saw system security chasing an Imperial Navy Cobra that jumped out.
