Dinosaurs Clannfears

I know I made this request before, but the Clannfears in Oblivion look very dinosaur-like and they're the ones I want to see in-game.
Now how do the Clannfears fit into the Jurassic Universe? Long ago, during the time of the dinosaurs, the daedra came to earth via oblivion gates for unknown reasons but when they left, they left Clannfear populations behind and overtime the Clannfears grew, adapted and multiplied and when the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event happened, all traces of oblivion gates were erased but the Clannfears dna and fosils like the dinosaurs survived. Anywho the Clannfears in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion look very dinosaur-like and I want them to be part of the game.

Just, no.

  • Different franchise. Doesn't belong.
  • Style doesn't fit the game or universe to begin with.
  • Looks horridly unbalanced. It would fall over. Just a bad design in general.
  • Makes no sense at all to have in the game. An upright walking dinosaur like animal that's not actually a dinosaur, what? Do you think this would fit as an animal you have in an enclosure or as a guest? Because it makes no sense as either.

Just a terrible idea. Sorry.

They're small carnivores. And I imagine that if we had them right now they'd behave the same way as the small carnivores we have right now. Also the Clannfears I imagine in Jurassic World Evolution are wild, independent and serve no dark lord cause they're the descendants of a Clanfear population that got left behind by mistake. Also as the story goes, Ingen believes that the Clannfears are another dinosaur species but they don't know about the Clannfears true extra galactic origin.

Come on. Have you even played The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion? You obviously haven't seen them from the side.View attachment 137998
Like most things in Oblivion it still looks quite bad.
Just a really bad idea to add things like this. Unless at some point mods are a thing this really won't be added ever cause it's just a terrible idea. But if it's possible to mod it in, sure, go nuts and have fun.

And hybrids are not bad?
Not as bad. But still kinda dumb. And atleast the Indominus and Indoraptor have decent though a bit boring designs. The Spinoraptor is decent, but the Ankylodocus and Stegoceratops are terribly designed abominations, as are most of the hybrids from the JW mobile game.

Alot of people don't like the hybrids and yet we got The Secrets Of Dr. Wu hybrids. I'm sure the Clannfears though not hybrids won't be any different.

Come to think of it, their appearance reminds me those Dino-Human hybrid thingy which was scrapped and gone for good.
Yes they're not Dino-Human hybrid but still odd and TOO alien. We already have several dino gene Abominations, so...no thanks.

Also. In The Land Before Time TV series episode The Stranger From The Mysterious Above. There's a Microceratus it's kind of like a Clannfear but it's small and herbivorous while the Clannfears are big and carnivorous.

And Microceratus has actual fossil record(although most of them are considered to be Graciliceratops now).

I actually would like to know if that DLC was indeed that successful, because I doubt it. Plenty of people bought it just for the new maps and genes or the Troodon or both. But a lot of us skipped it precisely because of the hybrid theme, and I still refuse to acquire it for more than 5 bucks. Since I also know I'm not alone in this (at least around my place), how does that speak of the DLC?

Again, no thank you. You'd better ask for mod support in order for the community to provide such 'personalized' stuff, specially if it's an adaptation from any other franchise. I'd rather have the devs focusing on the game's actual shortcomings. We don't even need more regular dinosaurs atm.

To this idea: Just NO.

This Clannfear you're asking isn't even a real dino. It's made for Oblivion, it belongs in Oblivion.
Even if you use the "Why not use it as a hybrid?, the game already has hybrids" argument, it's still invalid. The hybrids currently in the game are FD's own creations, Clannfear isn't.

As what Alan_Grady said, its from a different franchise. So it doesn't really belong or in the least, fit the game.

I didn't say "why not use it as a hybrid?" I was just comparing your disliking of the Clannfears to your disliking of the dinosaur hybrids. And yes it's not part of the Jurassic franchise but it can still be. As the story goes, the Daedra visited the Earth during the time of the dinosaurs via oblivion gates and when they left, they left some Clannfear populations behind by mistake. They continued to live alongside the dinosaurs until the event that wiped out the dinosaurs. Their dna was found by Ingen and they were cloned like the dinosaurs.

Even if we discard the "Why not use it as a hybrid?" argument. The fact remains that what you're asking for is from a different franchise regardless.

Their dna was found by Ingen and they were cloned like the dinosaurs.
So you're basically making a made-up story for a made-up "dinosaur" from a different game/franchise, just so it can be part of a different game/franchise?
