Climbable shelters and buildings

I would love to see animals( especial cats and monkeys) climb shelters or buildings we put in habitats. Just imagine building watch tower in gorilla habitat. They would become king kongs :).
I understand that making construction climbable could be hard to do now so maybe some building decoration that allow animals climb.

Maybe that's a bug, but I got a lion cub and mandril on top of their shelter.

Animals can climb their shelters. I had a bear that loved to sleep on the roof of his shelter, and lemurs and monkey use them to climb and play.

Yeah my cats climb their shelters all the time. I think it depends on what you make them out of of course, as if its steel then they can't climb it, but wood they can.

They can climb their shelters, I had a tiger on the roof yesterday. I love it! Maybe it only works for some materials though?

Hey @FistsofSnake good to see you here :) One thing you can do while building is filter contruction items by 'climbable' - but if there's a way onto an object the animals will walk on it if it's flat enough and the space will accomodate them. You can check this by clicking on an animal in the habitat and using the heatmap view for 'traversable area' everything they can get onto will be in blue.

I know they can climb premade shelters as they are made with climb log but I was thinking of buildings looking like house not just wooden shed. When I unlock clock tower parts i wanted make them into monkey habitats but it woudn't work. To make it climbable I would have to make a wooden mock-up. It's not the same

Something I've not tried is how much you can get away with hiding one active thing inside a passive thing. For instance, Jonti Sparrow (youtube.com/geekism)covered a feeding tray with a rock (just a bit) but it still worked. You might be able to do something like put a straight liana inside the clocktower element and maybe a small platform too, you'd get some clipping but the animals would be able to make it up there if everything is connected.
