If we, from Asia, were heard as "comms chatter" you'd have absolutely no clue what we're saying

Cuz we normally don't speak normal English to one another - we take shortcuts, dropping "the", "is", "are" etc. You'd hear English words but you won't understand what we're saying. Our accents make it even harder to understand us
Yes, I am able to write differently from how I speak. When speaking/writing to Westerners I/we use normal English. To ourselves, we start to use creole. Kinda like the Belter language in "The Expanse" TV series... eg if you heard "bossmang" you'd kinda understand the root derivative was from "boss man". But when heard with the Belter accent you'd have no idea what was said without subtitles.
