C'mon everyone - get trucking Onion Head.

I noticed that. I'll have another delivery in within the hour, maybe two if my daughter can hang an extra hour in crèche (depends on if she napped or not).
Question: where can I sell Kongga Ale for more than peanuts?

in kappa fornacis, harvestport. run kappa fornacis (buy: onionhead, sale: kongga ale) - xelabara (sell: onionhead) - kongga (buy: kongga ale).

distance kongga - kappa fornacis is above rare distance limit (~150 ly), so you will sale at 15 000 cr/ ton profit or something.

Yep, right on the cusp of tier 2! Waiting for the spawn and I'm off again. Had a wee bit of pew before I left so have some bounties to hand in, but somehow doubt I'll see top 5% for that one.

I think for 5 percent you need 80 or 88 tonnes. Currently at 128 tonnes. Painfully waiting for the onions to grow right now grrrr.

Made 7.5 million in Alliance bounties so in top 5 percent for that too :) Although that feels just as slow flying to Bylgit and farming the hazres. Good thing it's high tech so changing weapons every now and again mixes it up a little.

Yeah, I'm @ 120, shortly to be 128 but I fight like a Dairy Farmer so I'll settle for top 70% on the bounty hunting!

Teamwork gathering Onion Head adventure with CMDR Count von Weiss:
Then CMDR Count von Weiss sent out a message saying he would be up for team Onion Head gathering for the CG on the forum, so after messaging eachother we met at Kappa Fornacis /Harvestport. He was using a Imperial Clipper with a 72t cargo capacity & a 16LY or so jump range ladened. I had my other ASP loaded up with a 80t cargo capacity & a jump range of 24LY laden.
To avoid fines by the station for dumping cargo we moved to 14Ls away from the station (12Ls away from the station was exiting the No Fire Zone...but I wanted a buffer lol )...although later we forgot & I got a 250cr fine for dumping 9Ls away from the station.
Also when doing we made a mistake in that when he Jetisoned the Onion Head for me to pick up 4t were actually ABANDONED ...so I had Stolen cargo in my hold....probably could have fixed with me dump them, he pick them up, & then JETSON those 4 cargo container again....but didn't try that lol.
Further mmore we both needed to buy collector limpet controllers as we did not have those outfited on our ships, 1A & 1D Collector Limpet Controllers were just 4LY away from Kappa Fornacis at Artemis /Laphrian (may have changed since yesterday).
We started out in working together to load my ASP in my private group on ED....that worked until around 31t or so of Onion Head in my cargo bay & then I started noticing that I could not pickup the last 3 Onion Heads he droped off for me on a couple of trips.

So we fiddled around & managed to get the last 8t in my cargo hold. Then took a trip from Kappa Fornacis back to Xelabara system to turn in the 80t of Onion Head, since we were winged up he recieved 65k cr trade dividend from my 1.2 mil cr profit of 80t of Onion Head & I recived a 6k cr prfit from his 8t or so Onion Head that he sold.
So we then went back to Kappa Fornacis to load up his Imperial Clipper ...ran into some more issues where is limpet drone was not responding anymore...cycling power to the limpet controller had no effect & launching new drones resulted in inresponsive drones.....so we deciced to re load the game...after some backing out, reloging, (I updated my
Video carde with a new driver that came out 5 days ago & installed 1 Windows Update...just incase), applying & then joining Mobius goup, we managed to get back going again...but started to see duplicate cargo canisters in space....although his cargo hold kept increasing with each trip of Onion Head I brought him...so we decided to keep going.
We wraped that up & then I went back to the station to pickup 8t more of Onion Head form myself. then we went back to Xelabara to turn in the 80t of Onion Head, since we were winged up I recieved 60k cr trade dividend from his 1.2 mil cr profit of 72t of Onion Head & he recived a 6k cr profit from my 8t or so Onion Head that I sold there.
2346 23NOV3301 GMT thru 0426 24NOV3301 GMT 80t load ASP 1.2 mil credit for 1 ASP CMDR (4hr 40min) 65k cr trade dividend for Clipper CMDR [this run took longer as we had issues to sort out in the middle of it]
0530 24NOV3301 GMT thru 0846 24NOV3301 GMT 72t load Clipper 1.2mil credit for 1 CMDR Imperial Clipper (3hr 16in) 60k cr trade dividend for ASP CMDR
...all in all a fun time :)
Asp Explorere build I was using:
http://www.edshipyard.com/#/L=70g,0...4yH4yH,2-7_8S7_6u6Q8S8I,0AA7Sk05U05U4zM5PU2UI
I figured out how to make videos with my nvidia gforce Shadow Play program & edit those videos with Windows Movie Maker, so posted our Onion Head adventures on YouTube...(CMDR Count von Weiss gave his permission for those who are concerned about that kind of stuff).
I realize I made mistakes in my first video...not just quality way to make the video but my horrible fly skills.
I was so excited with this "videoing" & group Onion Head teamwork, that I forgot to request permision to dock, clipped an NPC player, missed the back of the station wall, then when coming back in (with docking permission) I slammed into the back of the station (trying to smuggle in my "Stolen" Onion Head cargo...remember JESTSON not ABANDON your cargo to another CMDR....makes a difference lol).
On the plus side I missed the back of the station wall on my first attempt, didn't get scaned /fined, exited the station with 20sec or left before being shotdown by the station, & didn't lose our hard earned 80t of Onion Head :D
Here is the link to my Youtube channel to watch the 4 videos if your up for a good laugh & don't mind two guys just blabbing while gathering Onion Head goods:)
Used Nvida Shadow Play to film & Windows Movie Maker to edit /upload to Youtube.

HIP 8396 /Stepping Stone Base NO Large Pad "IMPROVE THE ECONOMY OF HIP 8396" (Mining) CG COMPLETED.
I did open a Bug Report as the Bulletin Board had dissapeared, making so that no new players could participate in that CG. Apparrentley the BB was reopend long enough for a some CMDRs to return & turn in that Mining CG to collect their CG rewards, however the BB was then removed from Stepping Stone Base...this made it hard for CMDRs who want their CG reward immediately.
https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=201640&page=3&highlight=HIP+8396
The Frontier's fix action has been to reopen the HIP 8396 /Stepping Stone Base BB for the rest of this week only Note: as noted on that thread "CG: Stepping Stone Base in HIP 8396"...
The 8 week auto-crediting system will still apply....so you can still wait 8 weeks to automatically get your CG rewards, instead of traveling back to HIP 8396 if you wish.

INARA webpage with Community Goals being tracked (updated as well):

Post#1 of this thread has updated stats as well:

Also for new players to CGs (Community Goals), CMDR FENNSTER has created a helpful how to guide at the following link (this link is also located on post #1 of this thread):

Further to the anomalous glitches with canisters ghosting after entering my cargo bay.

View attachment 77522
I went on external camera view to watch; and each time the drone popped a canister in, it's 'ghost' was pushed out. So that they end up congregating in the entrance like this!

They only exist for me. My wing mate cannot see this. He just sees the drone taking the cargo cans in.

Also, it is filling up my local scanner with white blobs!

Seems to happen regardless of group/private play etc. Same as yesterday.

lol this is how your Imperial Clipper's hatch look like from my view:

if you use limpet drones you can both stack the tonnes iv found that the time you get more alotments are timed to your first dock/buy so you go in an buy while your m8 run to xalebera and when he comes he goes right to buy while you wait outside the station, if you time it right your wing can buy every 5 minutes or more if 3 or 4 persons are doing this.. though i think the sweet spot is running about 20 tons

if you both get like below 44 you wait until nect tick in station whoever gets more next tick gets all the cargo forinstance. then you can start alternate on who buys. but also i think that the instance arround the station does not handle more than 20 t of cargo.
the point is that doing an run takes about 15-20 mins depending on the ship you have so if you wait more than 2 ticks (20 min + you might loose on the efficensy as well.. but 2 commanders can take 4 ticks in 15 minuts. 3 commanders can make 6 and 4 players 8 in that same time

hectic yes but better than staring at the screen hah

And there is a way to 'potentially' up the average of the 8 maximum.

The Commodities refreshes every 10 mins. You have a total maximum of 8.

If you wait 20 mins you get 8, leave dump to your wing man, go back in for more, the market refreshes on its own clock; every 20 mins you fill your partner with 8 tons.

HOWEVER:

This is a random generator, but it isn't quite random. It will never give you more or less than 8 on the second refresh.

e.g.

Dock, and go to the market, o there's only 2 tons of OH. :( Wait ten minutes and magically 6 tons appears.

That pattern repeats; if thee is 3 when u dock, 10 minutes later there will be 5 and so on.

So you can play this to our advantage, but it only works if people team up, the more the better. 1 sitting with 3 ratting would generate much higher numbers of OH.

If you get a number higher than 4 on the first dock, leave and give dump it, dont wait for the second lot to turn up.

For instance - I got 7 once when I docked - so I left and gave that to my wing man. On the next refresh, I had an empty hold, it gave me 5.

7 - leave (7)
5 - leave (5)
2 - stay (2)
6 - leave (8)
3 - stay (3)
5 - leave (8)

[EDIT]

7 - leave (7)
3 - stay (3)
3 - leave (6)
2 - stay (2)
2 - leave (4)*
6 - leave (6)
7 - leave (7)

* I was contemplating whether it would give me anything after another ten minutes, the theory is that it would but i bottled it and didnt want to wait ten minutes for nothing... for the sake of science i should have stayed, I am sorry.

... then start having anamolous problems with cannisters... post to follow....

[EDIT]

That's the pattern I got when I tried this just now (Peregrinus patiently waiting outside!, so I got an average of 9.3 per 20 mins, rather than 8.

You could leave after every refresh, but chances are you will get two small number in a row. If you stay on a small number, you'll get a big number to take you up to 8.

I'm still 'collecting data' especially on the market refresh times.

Well we just lost our dividends on that run!

My wing man should have gotten a dividend of around 66,000CR when I cashed in 80t of OH for 1.2m CR.

We were winged up and at the same station, but neither of us got a dividend (he also sold 8t, and I should have got 6,ooo from him).

I've seen plenty of posts here and on Reddit of people complaining about the same thing happening, when all things seemed to be set up correctly for the wing.. The only solution seems to be to break the wing and recreate it.

Oh well, it was only 60 odd grand!

what i do is sell 1 and see if the wingman gets the dividence..

Here are the stats from our earlier loading up of 80t, with an 8t limit set by the base.

s = stay - l = leave Figures in brackets are the number of cans taken out each trip.

1 - s
2 - s
5 - l (8)
7 - l (7)
7 - l (7)
5 - l (5)
6 - l (6)
2 - s
4 - l (6)
2 - s
6 - l (8)
5 - l (5)
3 - s
5 - l (8)
2 - s
4 - l (6)
7 - l (7)

[EDIT]

On the second 80t fill-up:

--
(1+6+0+1) My wing man picked this up while I was getting my first batches.

4 - s
4 - l (8)
4 - s
4 - l (8)
4 - s
4 - l (8)
8 - l (8)
7 - l (7)
4 - s
4 - l (8)
3 - s
7 - l (8)

... and then we winged up with another command to make three and filled it at this point with his help.

[EDIT]

So as you can see, if you have a wingman, and always leave if you get a high number first, then you can load up quicker than 10 trips (comprised of 20 market refreshes) of 20 minutes each to load 80 tons.

In the above exercise, we loaded the Clipper with 80 tons with 17 market refreshes, instead of 20.
