Parks COA Park

Hi all, the game is just absolutely fantastic and the best, I've ever played!!! Thank you frontier for this amazing game!!!

This is my first project, a fantasy park, packed with four park sections, hotel resort, parking area and approx four to five rollercoasters...[big grin]:

COA Park

Hope you like! I only used my own blueprints. Playing and building around over 200 hours in that park...

Again the parking entrance.

Hope you like it. Work is still in progress. If you want, I can show more pics in the future.

A lot of greets to this great community! And thanks again to frontier for that fantastic game!!!

This is........ intense! LOL. The parking lot and highway look amazing. Does it make the park tiny? Do you have an overview of the map? I'd be interested to see it. Either way, I will track the development of this park. I dig the uber realistic feel.

Luckily the maps are large enough to be able to include parking lots like this haha.
Though I wonder, do guests have a very long walk ahead of them to reach the rides? Might chuck a couple gulpee energy and coffee shops in the parking lot for some extra cash ;)

It looks great so far!

Welcome aboard, Corkscrewloop! That's a very impressive park entrance. I hope you show more of it in the future, including an overhead view of the whole place.

I agree with Anth08, you'll probably want some benches along the way in and also drink shops in the hotel. There's a definite limit to how far peeps will walk. There's a video on that very subject by Jay Oddity: https://youtu.be/MlAuTzj74ME

Dear all, thank you so much for this warm welcome, what a fantastic community! Thanks @Bullethead for this very cool link, yes that is definitly a topic. I try to post more pictures of the c.o.a. park with of course the overhead view and surroundings. In this map the people are entering directly in front of the entrance, and as I've learned they walk straight to the park entrance and then directly to the most attractive rollercoaster bypassing carousels, shops, etc... (like I would do as well...[big grin] ).

The parking and hotel I built more for completeing the atmosphere. The game lets do this (FPS did not drop so significantly) and the details of the building pieces, coasters and rides are just amazing, so... so many things are possible.

So here are more pics of C.O.A. park, I hope you like them! Feedback is very much appreciated.

The overview... the park is not fully finished, especially around the backside of the hotel I have to do some themeing and pathing.

behind the entrance gate, the people are greeted with the curved park-train bridge.

the park-train leaving the main station.

some french styled buildings opposite of the main station in the main park area.

the promenade area with the wooden coaster in the background.

vBlxOHH.jpg

Inverted coaster with six inversions on the left on a small tropic island and the hyper coaster, which heads for the left parking area. In front one of my favourite flatrides.

mJaQbNt.jpg

The opposite side with the futuristic park area, featuring my most favourite coaster type, the floorless coaster with great seven inversions. Still some themeing required... Behind the floorless is a non inversion darkride coaster...

So this is the park's current state... the FPS are already almost down to 25... (without parkguests yet...) so I don't expect much more rides to come, just more details and themeing...
I hope you like what you see, if you want I can share more pictures... more close ups, etc.

Again a lot of greets to this great community! And once more thanks so much to frontier for this fantastic game!!!

Your park looks great! It's still a good size even with a large carpark area.

I was worried the guests would have to walk forever just to reach the park entrance, but that's clearly not the case.

Well done so far, can't wait to see it all finished!

Dear all, thanks a lot for the great feedback. I'm very happy, that you like this park. Here are some more screenshots, where I "test-opened" the park. Still at over 20 FPS with approx 2000 guests.

I hope you like what you see... There is a list of approx another twenty tasks to do before I can consider this park as ready to open / finished...
A lot of greets!!!

This park is incredible. Real life like. Any chance of some more entrance pictures? I'm after inspiration.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, Scott! Real life is exactly what I'm aiming for... And yes inspiration is the keyword... I'm searching myself... but its not hard. Here are so many fantastic creations showed in the forum... which is just absolutely amazing.

So I'm still playing around with the entrance themeing and design, and more happy with it now... Thats where I'am at the moment with the entrance:

After letting the park visitors flow into the park, I noticed, that this is the most frequented ride... dont know why, have no themeing yet inside the hall... :D

Hope you like what you see! A lot of greets!!

What does COA stand for?
Corkscrewloop

Originated

Awesome.

Very fine work. I strive for this, but I've a ways to go obviously. How did you do the large areas like the parking lot? I see people walking on it. I thought we couldn't do stuff like that with pathing.

Excellent work!

Yeah, I've also been wondering what COA stands for. And now JTTS, too.

Corkscrewloop's Original Awesomeness?
EDIT: Ha! Ninja'd.

Just Totally Titanically Stupefying?

What does COA stand for?

That was my fear, that sooner or later somebody would ask... To be honest I don't know myself. I had a few ideas for a resort name, but in the end all seemed to be either an existing or similar real life name or already used by some other fantastic community creations... so I simply used the abbreviation of one of the ideas... probably the most boring one... "collection of attractions"... or "chart of adventures"... or... or, by the way the ideas from Bullethead and Don Alvarez are much more cool, thanks!... As I said, there are so many ideas.

Now I find it actually cool with the abbreviation, as it is somehow unique... so I decided to rename many of the park sections and some rides with just abbreviations too... [big grin]
And thats how it will stay and how the park will be named.

Yesterday evening C.O.A. park had one of the trial nights, means it was opened to the public, even the park is not finished and not officially open. So there was a chance for the visitors to ride and test the rides, while the park mgmt could gain first experience on running the park with guests...
Enjoiy some nice impressions of "A first night at C.O.A"...
