Coaster Head Club

Hi people,

Just wondering if the Coaster Head Club still adds a lot to your PC experience...just being honest. Even after release of the Alpha, does it give me more candy? Because I'm still craving for more info and input! And I'm in this serious position of pushing the *send-me-that-t-shirt-button-har-har-har* [pirate]

What's your opinion about it, particularly the ruling Coaster Headers among us...?!

Oh..especially because of the lack of updates lately...(I keep assuring myself that they are too busy cooking new stuff and 'fixing'/'improving' the stuff we already have dug up in testing all this awesomeness [noob])

Actually, I have the same question.
And I also wanna know the big different between V.I.P. and Coaster Head Club? People says those are different things.

Hi. I'm a Coaster Head Club member, and I visit the forum every day.

The Coaster Head Club is a hidden subforum of this forum, and it contains weekly posts of Frontier with some concept art, renders and sometimes a video. All of it is Planet Coaster related. Coaster Heads (the members) get to choose weekly what subject is shown. Mostly there are about 3 or 4 images per week, and some of them are posted on social media (Facebook), but not all of them. This has been going for about 23 weeks now.

If you like to see exclusive concept art, renders and video before everyone else, I can recommend the Coaster Head Club. Also if you want the t-shirt and wristband.

There have also been 3 Q&A with members of the team.

Currently, except for weekly content releases, it's a bit quiet in the club. Frontier is likely working very hard on the game, and putting a little less time in the club. Will likely change to more active again after some time.

We know nothing more than non-members when it comes to the game itself. Content, Q&A, extended Dev Diary videos (2 in total at this time) and votes on what is shown on social media.

VIP-tickets are totally something else: those tickets give you the ability to create your own guest(s). Currently, we're still waiting for more info on those VIP tickets.

Thanks for the info Joel, I was very curious about that stuff. Personally I will not be buying into the Coaster Head Club, and I think the people who do deserve a little something more than a shirt and some pictures.

I really wish Fronteir would release more info about the VIP passes, I posted a few times about them but got no responses. It seems like a weird feature to have to pay extra for, and I want to know if they are limited time only or if they will be adding other paid-for add-ons like them.

I have mixed feelings.
I have no regrets at all about supporting Frontier and this game. Happily would have paid more in fact.
So the value proposition, for me, is just fine.

But I'm a bit sad about the CH benefits, in that they could be a LOT better with almost no extra effort or cost from Frontier.

I myself was skeptical as my only interest for CHC was additional insight and didnt really have interest in the shirt or wristband. Last week, I decided to just go for it and I was quite satisfied tbh. Consistent weekly votes on content we get to see and exclusive screenshots etc posted every Friday. Frontier also just mentioned that they will soon be providing alpha development insights and explain what they have learned from the community since alpha release and how it influenced their processes.

I'm happy to support Frontier and love the game so much so that I would say I am promoting it for them via word of mouth.

However a few images once a week which will then be posted to social media a few days later does not justify the price IMO.

It's likely to be more than that as time goes on but at the moment there's still time for things to happen from what I can see (and yes I am a CHC member). Don't forget though that the price also covers the merchandise cost as well by the looks of it.

As has been mentioned, it is a little quiet in the CHC currently (compared to what it was a few months back) but am sure that will pick up again in time. T-shirt is decent although there has been the odd complaint about quality (personally I like it). The wristband also contains something completely unexpected [wink] If you're happy to support Frontier with the odd additional perk here and there in return I'd say go for it [up]

Ok, i was curious about becomming a Coaster Head Member but i just bought it anyway.

I must say im neither impressed nor let down by the amount of footage we get. don't forget -eventually- everyone will get ALL information. So all this will give you is knowing stuff earlyer. Personally i think its a bit expensive considering what you get for it... but thats just my opinion.

At the same time, i didn't buy it for the Shirt or wristband at all, the early information is nice to have but my first and foremost reason is i LOVE Planet Coaster already!!
I gladly spend another 34 Euro's to contribute to this game... As don't forget, the more money a game makes, the better chances there are we will get updates, DLC or even add-on's after the release. And i want this game to be supported for a long time and get as much content as possible. So for that reason i decided to buy the CHC... just to support the game, and getting early info is a very nice to have.
