Coaster supports need 2 minor tweaks to look a lot more amazing, which would make custom supporting unnecessary! (besides for the die-hards).

Yes, if they do 2 simple tweaks to the coaster supports it is unreal how much better the game would be. As far as I am aware (I could be wrong, but I'm pretty certain) it barely requires any new coding if any at all and just requires some minor value tweaking.

For steel coasters the supports simply don't need to go as wide and need to be 15-20° wide, not nearly 45° as is right now, that looks a bit ridiculous and is one of the main reasons someone would want to custom support their ride. (ESPECIALLY for tall coasters)

For wooden coasters all the correct coding is also in place already, because to be honest, the supports already look great, they just don't make sense. Right now Woodies just need to be absurdly tall before they get lateral supports, and the first additional row of lateral supports simply starts too low. If they tweaked it that lateral supports spawn closer up to the track itself and that the track doesn't need to be THAT high up before they spawn, woodies would look miles better already.

I know there is the concern of performance, but even in Planco 1 this wouldn't be that big of a deal, with seeing the stellar performance of Planco 2, this is even less of an issue.

Please, Frontier, I am begging you in name of the whole community, make these 2 minor changes just so that your supports make a lot more sense, we'll be greatfull for life!

Lots of love and thanks for reading

(P.S. I don't know if this is a bug but are you aware the track in the station doesn't generate supports so just kinda floats there? I don't know if anything has been done about this in Planco 2 yet though, anywho this is less important but I felt like mentioning it!:3)

Someone on Reddit said the supports need to be thicker, which is even easier to implement, but less necessary, in my opinion. Also I don't mean to be a know it all, I just want to provide feedback on one of the few things that's genuinely bothering me about this game that is very close to great, but just isn't right now.. No hard feelings!

I would also love to have scenery pieces that match the wooden coaster supports to fill in those spots where a section of the track runs under another higher section of track to fill in those sections of track supports that are just hanging in the air. That's one reason some people start adding custom supports to those sections, decide they stick out compared to the in-game coasters and end up adding far more custom supports to make everything look better (and add a ton of objects while they are at it...). As you said, the in-game supports actually look good, but things like sections just hovering in midair don't make sense!

Very good call-out! Most of all I'm wishing for a manual prefab list of supports, you can keep the auto generated supports, but you can also change the "support type" manually to something else or adjust the supports themselves. Though this is reaching new feature suggestion territory haha:D
Looking at how amazingly they updated literally everything it just stings that one of the most obviously jank things currently still looks the same, even though it does really not need that much adjusting
